So did I, but I had a lot of "dust" being sent and didn't apply a "proper" network fee...
If the tx is NOT in mempool (with 0 confirmations it should not be, if I am correct), then you can "cancel" it (the proper term is "abandon the transaction"). That option is available in the latest QT wallet by righ-clicking the transaction.
I had to backup my wallet (I used the precedent version), then compile a new one (Ubuntu 14 x64) and replace the binaries. It was painless (for me). Good luck.
