You will need 25k Bitsend coins to setup a masternode.

Additionaly, Bitsend will also activate Segwit starting from block 400,000. We are very proud of this development; no other currency offers these prominent features!
You should include an estimated-time-of-arrival (ETA) for that block/activation of SegWit. How many BitSend coin do we need to setup a Masternode? and is there a how to please. Thanks,
As answered multiple times before, 25 000 coin. You can find guides here: https://bitsend.info/forums/index.php?board=2.0.

Good news indeed. It's always nice to see BitSend at the forefront of development and innovation within the cryptocurrency world.
Does anyone know if the issues on some exchanges in the past few days is due to this new update not being deployed by them yet?
What issues have you experienced?

What issues have you experienced? The BitSend wallet on Novaexchange is offline and Cryptopia hasn't had any confirmations on deposits made in the past 3-4 days. On the other hand Bittrex is working fine, just requiring 100 confirmations instead of 20 (I imagine due to the new Bitsend core update).

◢◤ Development Update and Roadmap 2017- Bitsend the first Masternode Coin with Segwit Support10/5/2017 [23:33, 5.10.2017] Steve Mueller: We made a big step forward with the new Bitsend 0.14.03 build. We entered a completely new stage because we left the Dash Core fork and developed a completely new unique code base . After some investigation we didn't find any other crypoto currency with a working 0.14 Masternode system! We are very proud to achieved that goal. It is recommend to download the newest Bitsend version 0.14.03 for desktop clients, nodes and masternodes. Segwit will be activated from block 400000. We partnered with coinomi. They are currenntly working on a BitSend listing in their android app service. In the next weeks it will be also possible to use that Multicoin app as a SPV BitSendwallet At the end of this year we are hard working to present a BitSend Electrum Solution. This will be a big step forward for a SPV wallet and also for web applications. Joshafest works currently on a smart contract solution for Bitsend (This process is actually in 'alpha' phase, we cant promise a final release date yet) We are proud about our development which we build without any ICO or foreign investments. Here you will find more informations about BitSend, masternodes and about the new Core 0.14 : https://bitsend.info/the-first-masternodecoin-with-core-0-14-and-segwitKind Regards Joshafest, Kaali, Steve, Jon, Lauda, Mczarnek and Christian After upgrading bitsend-cli getinfo returns a message: "errors": "This is a pre-release test build - use at your own risk - do not use for mining or merchant applications Should this just be ignored?

Can you explain more for new users what it means implement smart contracts on bitsend network and what do you mean by the bitcore? you mean bitcore by stand alone API like bitcore just for bitsend?

That was a small mistake in the PM. Kind Regards Christian After upgrading bitsend-cli getinfo returns a message:

You can use this version. We try to add a new Linux build in the next days. Kind Regards Christian

The Xevan algorithm used by BitSend (BSD) has finally recieved a GPU miner for Nvidia-based mining rigs with the ccMiner fork by krnlx (source). Unfortunately for the moment the code of the miner only compiled and works under Linux, though hopefully soon things will be ironed out and a Windows version will also be available. For a Xevan AMD GPU miner check this older fork of sgminer available for both Windows and Linux OS with precompiled binaries. The Xevan algorithm is essentially a dual X17 with 128 bit headers, but it wasn’t that easy to implement apparently or there weren’t enough incentive up until now apparently. The ccMiner fork from krnlx is reported to provide 3.3+ MHS on Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 and around 6 MHS on Nvidia GeForce GTX 10880 Ti GPUs according to the author. Owners of Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 mining rigs are advised to set the intensity manually in order to have the miner work properly with their hardware, GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 Ti should work fine with the default intensity of 20. If you are interested in how the Windows version is coming, then you might want to check out the official thread about the miner on Bitcointalk. Update: Windows binary is now available thanks to Palgin, you can download a 32-bit Windows binary, VS 2013, CUDA 8.0 here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2237852.0

That is some good news about the Nvidia Xevan miner. It will be interesting to see how much the network hashrate increases over the next couple of days.
