When I try to open beta test wallet I get a malware warning and I can't open it, anyone else having this issue?

False positives are fairly common when scanning crypto currency clients.  Its pretty clean according to VirusTotal. There's some IRC code that I'll compile without next time, which should make it completely clean.  Is your malware detector complaining about IRC?

When I click on start anyway, then AVG warns me as well that file might be dangerous. If I click on "I trust this file", it never starts.

Is there a way to get AVG to ignore the file?  I'm' on Linux, so not experienced with AVG.

Some of my buy orders have been filling as people are selling their coins, maybe due to the BTC fork. I've got buy orders all the way down to 5k sats, I'm sure once this fork is over for BTC that Altcoins will start to pick up again and once the masternodes testing is over and released it should help bring the price back up. I see this as a good buying opportunity at the moment and for anyone new that wants to get some Footycash.

You choose your own rpcuser and rpcpassword.  The port in the masternodeaddr filed is the same as what yu have defined in the port field, 17017 is the default port.

Masternodes are working well in the beta test.  The only problem is with such a small network there is a delay syncing and waiting for transactions because of coin age being a factor in staking and running a masternode.

I am very new to footy, so folks forgive if I look novice. I am finding it difficult to sync the wallet. Kindly guide me where to "addnode". I shall appreciate if some additional details are given.
 As this issue is bothering a number of community members, someone should upload a video on youtube.

1. Go into the Footy Wallet.

2. On the top Menu Bar Click:  > Help > Debug Window

3. Once the Debug Window is open Click the Console Tab

4. On the Console Tab Page you will see a large text box and a little text box at the very bottom. Click into the little text box and type the following commands:

6. If you have little or no connections then use the following addnode command:

Is the situation normal for nodes to suddenly drop off? I used to have 8active node connections however after approximately a couple of weeks I only have 1 active node connection.

Cryptopia gave me the below link and said that they have processed the withdrawal successfully:

The beta test doesn't affect current blockchain.

Yes, you can run on a VPS and that is actually the preferred method. If you run a masternode locally other nodes may not be able to contact it if its behind a firewall or NAT.

Details for Beta Testing the Footy Cash Masternodes

Hello, we're looking for 5 beta testers for the new release of FootyCash.  Ideally, we would have a few that want to run masternodes and a few regular clients.  I'll send some beta test coins to the first five to respond.  Post your address after setting up the new client.  Post one for your masternide and one for your regular client.

Installing the new client will not overwrite your current client, they will be in different blockchains. Still, it doesn't hurt to backup your current setup.

It will take up to 24 hours before your coins begin staking, so be patient.  It takes 15 confirmations for your masternode to begin running, so please be patient.

The current setup is 60 blocks with .5 block reward split 1/3 to staker and 2/3 to master node. This will add approximately 250k per year.  The beta test blockchain will be blown away after the test, so these beta test coins will vanish when we go live.

I'm heading to my day job now in Australia time, and will send coins when I am able to to get the beta started.

Masternode instructions:

Local masternode setup option A
This is the easy way. I'll write up instructions for option B remote control later

1. Start wallet normally and get 100% synced.

2. in console type: "masternode genkey"  - and save the output for use in a later step

3. in console type: "getaccountaddress 0"  - this is the address where exactly 5000 coins should be sent

4. send exactly 5000 coins to the address from step 3. the masternode needs 15 confirmations on the 5000 coin transaction before it will work, but the remaining steps can be completed now

4.  shutdown wallet

5.  add this to footycash.conf - the directory name is FootyCashV2, so it doesn't conflict with current client:
rpcuser=<your rpc user name that you choose>
rpcpassword=<your rpc user password that you choose>
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
