There's no doubt that there is heavy interest in Ripple technology.
The important question is whether or not banks will use XRP along with the Ripple Protocol, which, from what I've gathered so far, is optional.
If using XRP banks will saves a lot of money, then why is MUFG making their own coin?
Anyone got thoughts on the distinction between XRP and RCL?
Wrong. It is not optional to use XRP. You can't use Ripple without XRP. You are person number five million I've had to explain this to now. Without XRP Ripple can't do thousands of transactions per second as what's called "the XRP Payment Channel" is used to make EVERY SINGLE RIPPLE TRANSACTION. XRP IS PART OF THE SYSTEM! NO XRP NO RIPPLE! Please read back a few pages before you post people. |

Do we know what was the cause of the rise in the price?
Was there a new news that could affect the price 100% of what it was one day earlier? If there is no such news involved that makes sense fort he price, I am sorry but there is a big chance it was just a pump and dump.
There was big news on Friday and yesterday. Not at all a pump and dump. Poloniex "crashed" when XRP hit 7000 and SEVERAL coins tanked because investors were scared Poloniex was trying to run off with the money. The price right now should be twice as high, and the only reason its not is because of the Poloniex scam on sunday. I do not trust poloniex at all anymore. Yes i agree but I don´t understand this reaction, just a connectivity problem, 2 weeks ago a dDos attack...maybe investors haven't forgotten Mt Gox bad memory It was right in the middle of it pumping. And then as the site was shutdown Polo let somebody sell off a bunch while nobody could access the website. Polo should get sued for this in my opinion. I actually watched with my own two eyes as Poloniex was shutdown, nobody could access, we get back on and somehow the price had dropped when the site was supposed to be shutdown. Very shady stuff going on over there. |

I believe its a big bear and a bunch of people trying to short. Have to remember XRP is one of only a few coins on Margin Trading as well. So people are also trying to bet their money on it tanking at any time. |

Yep, 1 Dollar will be the beginning (now we are at 0.034 Dollar), this would be a marketcap of 42 billion dollar. Look for example Mastercard, the marketcap of Mastercard is 121 Billion Dollar. I dont know what these 90 joined banks will make with the price, but when we have luck, then 1 Ripple will be 10 Dollar in the future maybe. |
