Thre is a reoccuring thought that most get when price goes up then comes down ..." if only i sold some then and bought more back now ,id have more " but it doesnt work in your favour much and most will end up losing more XRP

Stop thinking about it, let it go up..up..up n down...bad panic decisions lead you away from the plan...always stick to the plan  Wink

For me this has worked greatly though. The key is just patience. You can look at patterns to see how much the whales usually pump up this coin until the next consolidation phase. If you place a sell order with an automatic buy order on closure (you can do this on Kraken), there is little risk, if you don't do it with 100% of your Ripple. Last night for example my limit sell order executed at about 0.000096, but instead of then filling up my limit buy order at 0.000093 it kept pumping until nearly 0.000150. Thought the market had left without me. I was satisfied with my huge profits (and knowing I had still a lot of XRP left, which I can let pump with zero risk because I already realized enormous profits, so it can dump and I wouldn't care or it can pump to the moon with all the good news of the next years) but now this evening there was a correction and some whale cashed out or some "weak hands" panic sold into my buy order. I'm now fully in again anyway Cheesy Even though I was only partially into the first launch into +10k territory.

Moral of the story: the correction, or flash dump because someone cashes out always happens. Patience is key with trading. And with the speed of this XRP market you don't need thát much patience hahahahah

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Seems to be following the same path as yesterday. Seems people are having fun within a 1000sat sandpit, sometimes going over or under but making their daily gains again there.

They will then do one final buy with the days trades, let it climb and then bang DUMP and start all over again tomorrow. This is where we need to be careful as they are happy to see it rise and then dump on it and we don't want to get caught buying on that rise, just hold strong and hope that they will outplay themselves each 'stable' rise, get bored and move to another coin to let ripple do what it wants

agree m8 and well done on your trades
only thing i would add is good trading comes with experience and a small dose of luck....
i lost alot but stuck at it and am doing not too bad now...took nearly 5yrs lol

safe option for noobies...buy hodl...be an investor....
trading is hard work...high risk with high reward...

ps..btc going up again....it will end up in XRP soon
ouch 4 eth ...it might be going down more

lost a lot too my first year. Well not really a lot but was only trading Bitcoin (the altcoin market wasn't that big yet, there was only LTC, NMC, ...). Tried to sell on dumps as well (even if they were below my buy level) because I reasoned if I buy back even lower I will be in profit anyway. But then you have the market moving in the wrong direction and I panic buy. And a few minutes later it starts dumping so much it would have been below my sell order. So I panic sold again. And then it moves up again... lost more than a full bitcoin that way. So I decided to stop trading and hold instead. Had to wait 2 years until the price of Bitcoin was high enough to make some profit and then I sold just enough of my Bitcoins to be breakeven. Had very little bitcoins left. Went all in on Ripple and became a bigger fish than I've ever been before now. It's like the guy above (Satoshi, of course Wink) gave me a second chance. All thanks to this coin!

Guess everyone has to make these mistakes to learn patience. Actually Ripple is teaching me to resist panic buy/sell. The orderbook of Ripple is so thin it feels like ropedancing on a small thread. Dumps and pumps are so common I get emotionally detached from them these days, which is good I guess.

Ripple:Ripple’s solution is built around the open and neutral Interledger Protocol and serves to power interoperable payments across different ledgers and networks. We are conducting a PoC with  Ripple to demonstrate the synchronised movement of two different currencies across two different RTGS systems in particular to show how this kind of synchronisation might lower settlement and improve the speed and efficiency of cross
border payments.

I never have a problem with bitstamp. It did crash the price but no less than last night, sitting between 9000-10500 sats (14.5-16.5c) hasn't dropped further than that.

polo might really wants to control its happen a month ago when xrp went to 7k then the site went down and after that
the next thing happen everything went to its retrace lucky for those who still believes and start accumulating long wait
has been paid off i guess if the price fall down its better to buy and keep buying then wait for the price to went up to
1$ a piece.

I'm new to this industry and I'm still learning. It is disconcerting that an exchange server crash can have this much effect on the entire crypto market. It seems ironic and a bit antithetical to the whole "decentralized" concept that one online entity can have such a huge influence on crypto pricing.

On another note, mrpumpertitus- what other coins do you like? I've been buying ripple and ethereum. I've liked the posts I've from you so I'd be interested in what other coins you hold.

This post is brilliant. I never even thought about the irony. It sure doesn't seem so decentralized in this case does it? Very interesting post

Its also reported that bitcoin dipped during brexit and when trump was electe. Wasn't watching other coins then to know but it worries me why cryptos are affected by news/world events when one of their attractions is they aren't meant to be. Makes me wonder what will happen if WWIII kicks off....

Exactly why I said that other coins will be effected if Bitcoin takes a tumble (but was called a troll)

Maybe we need someone to create a decentralized network for crypto trading, keeping our balances on the block chain with multiple independent exchanges accessing these ledgers... if possible. Again I'm pretty new to this.

we need Lykke! thats why i am such a lykke fan, decentralized and safe, zero fee.
i trade by using their phone app.of course it needs some work and time.
i am with ripple since it was €0,005, and right now i invest all i can in lykke. (since i have enough ripple)
