Xrp is not ripple! Xrp is just the testcoin of ripple and won't ne used by the banks ...

From all the info I have read Ripple is plugging their XRP coin so that it becomes useful by speeding up the process and providing other benefits.  Of course their tech is great and if they slowly build the adoption of the coin then this rocket will lift off!  For now it is an integral part of their best offerings regarding speed, liquidity, and low cost for complex cross-currency transfers.

Thats true.  But i guess most people don't see tue difference between the company ripple and theire coin XRP. The company is the one with the customers
The xrp is just a showcase Smiley

I get you. But things like this are shared for months:

"Forty Seven Japanese Banks Move Towards Commercial Phase Using Ripple"
"Bank of England" "Santander and Reisebank"
"National Bank of Abu Dhabi: First Middle East Bank to Use Ripple for Cross-Border Payments"

According to them, so many banks in but none of them made a move to actually purchase the currency they will be exchanging. All we see is a pump after the hype and consquent dump afterwards.

the incentive to use xrp (apparently) is to reduce operational costs and offer more competitive pricing. reducing operational costs for a bank is at the top of their priorities, so in theory, xrp will should be used.

Xrp is not ripple! Xrp is just the testcoin of ripple and won't ne used by the banks ...

You better to come up with some evidence or ripple backed news when you do such IMHO groundless statements. In their videos XRP used as a bridge currency.

More over banks might already buying XRP from Ripple for test and development purpose, meanwhile another part which is available widely is for investors or individuals use (latter has no sense at current time).

You can tell who doesn't read a few pages back right away. If you read the last several pages of this forum there have been these people, and they're on every exchange too "XRP is not ripple, don't you idiots know that Ripple is different?" all the time non stop.

Its like wow if you did some research you would know that XRP is needed to use Ripple. No way around it. Ripple needs XRP, the more the demand for Ripple grows so does the demand for XRP. No way around it.

XRP is Ripple, Ripple is XRP. A bank may never buy Ripple, but whenever they use Ripple they burn XRP in every transaction. Not only that the value is also in the fact the XRP Payment Channel makes Ripple able to do thousands of transactions per second which without XRP Ripple would be unable to use its main feature.

So yes Ripple is XRP, if banks never buy XRP it doesn't even matter because if they use Ripple they are using XRP in every transaction

Just my observations regarding the XRP available in Poloniex.  The quantity has been increasing every day and specially now there is a lot of XRP piling up in the front.  I suspect a push is expected and the non believers and bag holders are piling up in the front to make sure they sell their coins..

This is the reason for yesterdays push and how magically there are buyers that always prop the price before collapsing.

Sellers outnumber the buyers, that is all.  If everyone want to sell then this coin would be at 0 value.

Another possibility is that buying whale does not want to pump the price until the timing is correct and the bag is full of cheap coins.   Grin
