"The technology we have developed, it separated a connection from the cryptocurrency or the token. So what that means is that a bank or non-bank like AMEX can use Ripple to connect and just exchange value from one fiat currency to another directly, without the need for any intermediate blockchain currency."

So they don't use XRP, only the ripple technology.

But, but, but... well will copy/paste

XRP is already adopted and not just by 1 institution:

I think we're right at that critical point now where we are starting to pivot some customers to XRP for some corridors. We have enough adoption now and enough value and liquidity in XRP that that's realistic. Cuallix is, so far, the only announced partnership of this type.

There are other partners using or testing xRapid. But Cuallix is the only one that we have announced yet.

We are on the train now!

The price sticked to $0.24 and cannot go upper sides easily. We need some news to make some action on ripple markets or bitcoin and ethereum are on the driver seat now. They will manage the market. Buyers are not coming to ripple frequently nowadays.

Cant wait for 2018 and the missed opportunity for exactly THOSE people. They will be back. Massively oversalted.

Yeah and why should they hire someone who is responsible for regulatory framework within the US to adopt XRP usage. Man people open your eyes its right before you. Those facts arent made up and shit, it all  comes together . In a few years people will read this thread and have a minute to honor some of the posters in here wich have given people the most legit informations and got trolled by mentally challenged patients. Me and many others wont be back into bitcointalk. We will life as legends!

Every day I hear about the Ripple as banks begin to implement their technology faster payments. The technology is very popular and see a huge number of events that should price shake and go pump but the price is in place why?

Ripple has been pretty stable in price for months now.  A run up in the near future would be nice.

Xrp is the only coin in the crypto market that hasn't increased in price this week. I know people are buying it but it seems the devs are keeping the price down. They don't want it to increase.

Lets just give ripple sometime maybe by next year it will rally again just like what happened this year. A lot of coins went down because bitcoin keeps on making all time high. Bitcoin need to stop moving and give altcoins sometime to go up.

Some news about partner or similar is deeply in need. Seeing other coin pumps really put me down with my XRP bag.

Another 'bagholder' here. I have absolutely no intention of selling my XRP any time soon. This is a great coin, and a genuine contender for the long-term number 1 spot, ahead of bitcoin.
Banks are stepping into a new technology here, and they are understandably cautious. Once they are comfortable and making savings, they will take the next step and use XRP. It has been demonstrated quite clearly that XRP, being the native coin, gives by far the greatest cost savings.

XRP will be huge. It is just a matter of time.
