I don't understand those of you who throw XRP at $.25. Let me share my way of thinking: 1. If you have the coin bought below 0.20 you are secured 2. if you have the coin bought 0.23-0.25 - is <10% enough for you? 3. if you have the coin bought > 0.27 what is the reason?
XRP no doubt is: 1) not so overpriced comparing to other coins (the ATH is still far ahead of us) 2) safe haven in case of market strong correction - the risk of fall below 0.19 is IMO low 3) selling and what then? Do you have better alternatives, share frank thoughts.
I too think so, 0.19 is rock bottom for XRP. XRP is most stable coin we have.

Xrp growth is expected in 2018. It started to rise this week. Its price is affordable to invest with with its low price yet it has been stable. More People will start to invest in xrp in 2018.

With all the incredible partnerships and structure they have been setting up I'm amazed the price is so low. XRP is clearly in for the long haul and I believe most people will realize it's potential when it's too late. My guess is 2018 will be a heck of a year.

XRP 0.000019xx soon. Growth sustained.
(if you flip your screen upside down).
"XRP will skyrocket with SWELL meetup" "XRP will soar with Q4 2017" "XRP is the best investment for 2018"
this thread is pure entertainment to read through the pages.
Can I be the first to say XRP will be the best investment 2019?

this. I understand that majority of you don't even look at the XRP/BTC performance because XRP is climbing on BTC's back? Good riddance with that. I would even spare a moment to see your faces seeing burst of BTC bubble and the real correction on the XRP value.

I am holding this coin to diversify my portfolio. The current performance is not as good as bitcoin, litecoin and ether, however I am still holding it as the future looks bright.

My prediction is that Ripple is on the best way going to 1 $. There are already so many partners.
Axis Bank and Rakbank will start using Ripple to open new ways of payment between UAE, India and Singapore.
I believe that there will be great things in future.

Here in crypto always is better alternatives, but I think that many of xrp holders also see this stable coin and trust to better price..

Don't expect explosive growth on Ripple. It's going to be a slow burn, but it's certainly not dead, not with the kind of deals they're lining up. In fact, it's long term play is far more promising than 90% of the other coins/tokens - the majority of which have no purpose beyond being a currency, or have roadmaps that are several years out before anything concrete will materialize, if ever. The fact that Ripple and XRP are in use and being adopted by major banks and corporations, guarantees it's future.
I'm not sure how long you've been in crypto but xrp is one of the most explosive coins. When it goes up expect 100% in a few days than it just sits there dead. When it pumps its fast. Take a look at the chart from its past gains. Nothing is slow in the crypto market. Long enough to see the patterns. XRP sat at the $0.01 mark for nearly three years. It spiked in May, going up to $0.37 at it's peak, and has been floating around $0.20-0.25 since. Please don't take it the wrong way, but I think you're forgetting three key factors - 1) XRP is a private blockchain, which in itself meets a certain amount of resistance from the community, 2) the number of XRP in circulation will most likely prevent huge price increases (rarity typically drives price), and 3) That the price of a coin/token can be controlled by the issuer - e.g. by setting the buy and sell prices. Take a look at Solidity ECR20 token markup and you'll see what I mean. I can't state that XRP is doing the later with full certainty, but it would make sense given the nature of the clients they are dealing with. Also, in the corporate world, steady and predictable pricing is critical. The volatility of most cryptos are their biggest hinderance to widespread adoption. Either way, I think XRP will see slow steady growth - which would actually be far better for it's business model. Explosive growth leads to pump and dumps. Again, this is just my opinion, and I'd be happy if proven wrong. Time will tell.

I believe ripple is a very good long term investment but if you invest in Ripple for short term then it is not worth, considering that they're working with financial institutions and improving the quantity continuously means that the blockchain technologies behind ripple is used by more and more banks in the long run. In my opinion, Ripple has a great potential and it will go up in near future.I think this coin will have a lot of banking partners in the coming years

this. I understand that majority of you don't even look at the XRP/BTC performance because XRP is climbing on BTC's back? Good riddance with that. I would even spare a moment to see your faces seeing burst of BTC bubble and the real correction on the XRP value. Hmmm what kind of purpose does btc have? Its for illegal activities and "a store of value" What kind of purpose does xrp have? Right, a tool for liquidity to different FIAT currencies for cross border payments. If btc pops because of bubble dont you think the only coin with a purpose for the FinancialWorld is going to dissappear? Think again. Xrp will take the nr. 1 spot. Mark my words, i will tattoo it on YOUR forehead . If this happens i will find out who you are and we will make this tattoo with you! PS, (stolen from xrpchat) Firstly, I think we're in a mania phase. The rise we're seeing in Bitcoin IMO is unsustainable. I liken in to the .com bubble. Business insider released an article the other day which pointed out that although the overall "market cap" of the crypto world is much smaller than the tech bubble, the ROI's have been substantially higher. And for what? Bitcoin is slow, unscalable, has exorbitant fees and hardly any utility. It's too complicated for the average user/investor, yet it's price continues to soar. The only real use I've seen for Bitcoin is convincing the next guy that it's worth more than you paid for it. On to XRP: There is an actual, explicit use case. It has a real, tangible business behind it with 200 employees. It has worked with the (monetary) system that we all participate in and understand. It has partnerships with some of the most recognizable names in the financial sector. This is just a few of the things XRP has going for it and without delving into others we can already point out that there is NO other crypto that can make these claims. I know it can be disheartening to watch other cryptos "moon" while XRP appears stagnant and I'd be lying if I said I haven't felt some disappointment or even envy myself. But all I need to do is remind myself of the aforementioned facts. I think the crypto world as a whole is going to be in for a big shock in short order as this unprecedented growth does a complete reversal. But I also understand that ~60% of XRP is traded in fiat, which means XRP is less susceptible to BTC price movements and more likely to hold it's ground/recover from the impending crash.

I think that the price of Ripple should grow in the near future. This is due to the fact that bitcoin is waiting for a good rollback. And smart investors will transfer part of their assets to safe cryptocurrencies. One of the safest in my opinion is just Ripple.

I agree ripple has a great dev team backed by banks and has a real use case. But if what your saying is true and xrp is so great, don't you think smart money would have already moved in here to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity? Maybe the big institutions know something we don't about xrp and they aren't touching it for good reason? All I know is that if you look at the chart, ripple is doing the worst among all top coins. Also I don't see how ripple is considered a safe investment? It's gone down more than any other coin, with massive amounts of losses now for 5 months. I don't see that as being safe?

What a brainwashed sheep you are. If you use Bitcoin for illegal activities nowadays than you will end up in prison very soon. If you want to do illegal stuff you need to use Monero. There is no need to look down at other coins because Ripple didn't go up like the rest did. Eventually Ripple will go up. In the meanwhile, stop talking nonsense.

Ripple is 4th coin for a reason, don't you think ? Because it didn't go up yet, that doesn't mean it won't go up soon. It is definitely not collapsing or going to collapse. So you don't need to have fear to lose. Don't sell it now because you are going to regret it. Eventually Ripple will go up too. Just be patient.
