Gambling is risky game of money from which most people lose and just a few wins. Gambling too is addictive and fun especially when you're winning and that's why most people can't get away from gambling once they get in it.
In gambling you only win from the start then you lose whenever you win a certain amount.
Actually gambling is already considered as a metal illness by some psychologists, but who cares. Gambling itself is a form of entertainment, addiction is a separate health issue. You can find people who are susceptible for forming addictions, everywhere not just in gambling. BTW being a maniac workaholic can ruin someone's family life just as much as being an addicted gambler, but in a different way. |

There will always be gambling in free societies, trying to stop gambling is like trying to stop alcohol, it never works. In the long term, there would be an huge underground gambling scene so you might as well have it accepted and regulated if the government wants their cut out of gambling, that's why they sell alcohol and cigs too. They are still stubborn in trying to fight weed for some reason tho. Prolly has to do with weapon business.

But the core reason is gambling. If you play gambling, you will get addiction which leads to all the problems. So, we can simply summarize the root cause of problems as gambling. I also consider gambling as a modern age sickness to our society. |

Gambling is not sickness. If you are lucky in gambling you can make a lot of money and that will be very good.
There is of course more often that you lose money than you win money and that is the problem. Many people lost a lot of money with gambling.

Everything in life is gambling in one form or another...
I think all its just if you have an addiction and are stealing and
not paying your bills to gamble etc.
If you treat it as a form of entertainment and keep the stakes small
it wont lead to a problem. When I lose I keep the stakes under $100 so
its not a crushing defeat where I feel like I need to get that money back.

Well the big problem to the most gamblers besides they become addicted,well they usually spend more then they should,soo the only way out should be stop,but they keep till get no option.Sure just some are on that situation,but when you winning you will take a risk that werent planed to happen,soo if you are winning around 50 -200 dolalrs you will try to get a bigger reward,but well usually you will lost more then win .

it is already considered as sickness because people even steals money just to gamble more, it is same as drugs or smoking, once you start it you can't stop without help of others, so there are even hospitals to save gamblers from gambling, just to make them stop and fix their life |

No it is not that bad. Because there are many people that have earned a lot of money with gambling so that is very good for them.
Of course there are many people that lost a lot of money with gambling. But it is their own fault because they have to control themselves.

Gambling can be addictive if you are prone to addiction, there are many groups that do treat this as a sickness and try to help those who need it.
It all depends on the person, I know people that can put a bet on every now and again and only for a small amount and they are happy win or lose, then there are others that put too much on and just can't stop.
