I just threw some BTC at this ICO but the balance on my Waves account seems much less than (my invested BTC / (25K btc / 85m)

Am I missing something ?

Not sure I understand your question but I just bought 0.27846385 BTCtc ($146.60 +/-) it bought me 877 waves.
So the current price is approx. $.16716078

Isn't my Waves balance supposed to be =  (my invested BTC amount divided by (25,092.01072062 btc (current raised btc) divided by 85 million)  ?

Because the amount I see on my Waves account is much less than that 

Some have bonus as well so your share is further diluted

I think I know what your asking, but I'm not sure how they figure it. I don't know if it's figured by each transaction and the price BTC at that time or exactly how it's figured. That is a good question though.

isn't so many people buying waves now actually worse for the profits? If waves would start let sat at $0.02 and you had 1000 shares , wouldn't that be better than 100 shares at $0.2? For some reason I think that jumping 10x from let say 0.0002 to 0.002 can happen much faster than jumping from 2 to 20, no? (in both cases we profit 10x). For example for ETH to jump from 10 cents to $1 was easier/faster than it will be jumping from $10 to $100, no?

This is another amazing journey for the waves, already  25169.99 invested with less than 7 hours left. This is going to hit to the moon when it is available for the ICO. 7 Hours still a long hours for the sharks to invest, I hope it reaches up to 50,000 BTC and the exchange will be $10. Absolutely true, mate. It may be good for short-term profit, but in long term it will be much harder to get big jumps (x10) in value.

hard to understand your logic of overbought ! People investing their hard earned BTC into waves to sell it on the first day of trading for a loss ? It's humorous : if ICO wasn't successful ( say 150-200 BTC), you guys will bash saying this is a trash coin, look ! No one is buying the ICO. Now that ICO is very successful because more and more people see the potential Waves has and its impact on BTC/Fiat/old banking Platform, you call it overbought and bloodbath. It's even funnier I've seen the same terminology ( Overbought, Bloodbath,.....) on BTC, ETH and even successful stocks on yahoo finance.

its about 6 hours left for the ICO and yet it will be release this June 14.
so there is no bloodbath that's going to happen, at least not yet. it may never happen as most of the users here are expecting the value to go higher.
