I think the launch should be delayed until everything is ready and the mainnet is ready for launch. We don't want to see another DAO.

Beta mainnet will launch as planned, of course everything needs to be properly tested after launch. After first checks we will enable investors to withdraw their tokens. Invited and allowed exchanges will need to perform their checks and set their nodes also after team is happy with network.

So how long after the ICO until we can withdraw our tokens?

Our goal is to release beta lite client with no blockchain download and enable investors to withdraw their tokens on June, 1. With bigger usage of the network additional tests and tweaks can be performed. We want to ensure smooth distribution of Waves tokens, including bounties distribution. So everyone will be able to withdraw their tokens without stress while additional tests are being performed and while exchanges can prepare for proper launch.

Lisk had issues with its launch that always reduces trust. They will need to deliver some killer app/product for the market to gain again. Waves isn't destined to follow the same route.

Also, no need to just compare the two - they are both good and interesting projects in the space. There are many cryptos below Lisk/Waves today that are much more promising for the long-term and have value/innovation, but a new launch always gets hyped. Time will tell if Waves will be able to hold on to this spot or not.

I find it a lot of money. with this money you buy the whole Blackcoin (that other 2014 hype coin...) or you can buy all the namecoins... or you can buy all coins that are listed on Yobit or C-CEX... you know what i mean... people are putting too much money in this one. Not everything will be the new ETH....

he is completely right, it's scary for the future of this coin as a whole that people are still buying in atm because they think launch is free money.

it's gonna go down burning and the people who hold because they know the fundamentals will be locked up in the coin for months. The people without that luxury will lose a large amount of their investment. Anyone buying in now be ready for huge drop and months before you can sell out breakeven. Simple supply and demand. You are burning money by not buying the inevitable launch drop of this coin.

I'll be there at launch hoping to be the first to sell. And i'm a long term holder, i'm just not gonna give up the free money that is buying the low here.
