And defending the ico price with buywalls is unreasonable anyway. Let the price move. Better put the money into developement
There is a whale who owns 10% of all the waves: https://wavesplatform.com/contract_statHe can make laugh of any buy wall What is that 866 on that big whale? Is it BTC by any chance? If so, how is it converted to bitcoin when it's not on any exchange yet? yes its not on the exchange yet yet i think the date are just on their database. no doubt waves is one of the most funded in crypto project. Funded? Does it mean that 866 isn't the value of the coins he holds, but it's actually the amount he invested in waves? Yes thats 866 btc x 450$, do the math, the guy is rich af. Why would he risk that much money? He can't possibly dump all those coins at launch without causing a panic sell can he? Any experts on this issue please?

To me he don't look dumb, maybe he's an expert himself. Else someone wouldn't be that dumb to put almost 400K USD into a coin which didn't even launched. He has hopes on this coin. If it fails, he'll be so fucked up.

He still could gain enormous $ after dumping that amount of waves. Whoever he is, he is still up for profit.

If he has put 400K in a single unlaunched coin, how much more he must be throwing on others coins and how much is he actually holding?

He must have nothing to lose or something. With that dump he'll crash Waves to below ICO or be screwed in the end and lose a lot or almost all of his $400k. There are no guarantees for profit in crypto. Balls of steel that guy.

Can't wait until launch to see this live in action. Yeah he probably bought Eth at a few cents and sold at 32 bucks, so from that alone he could have made a fortune. Shame I wasn't around for ETH, That's why I bought some WAVES, but I got less than 2k WAVES so that doesn't exactly put me in Whale mode lol.

Do you realize that it's not 866 btc invested by one man. it's one TRANSACTION that was 866 btc. So literally it is possible that this guy did 2-3-4-5 etc transactions and has even more =) and not just waves equal 866 btc.

Official buy wall it's shady (non respectable) for me: like everyone is afraid of dumps and asks devs for support. They was popular in 2014 at least. Usually it was shady coins, which didn't have any interesting to offer. Look, we have a buy wall! Invest to us! WAVES is another story, but I don't like this decision despite the fact that I invested.

That just doesn't matter here, we only invest what we can afford to lose and that's it. As long as we gain during and after the release that can be considered already as a success. I am buying more FYI.

what are the consequences of not swapping NXT based assets over to waves? What is the significance of 1st May too? I'm a bit confused as to what I need to do with my coinomat & coinomat1 assets
You can swap assets that you had before the May, 1. Final day to make swaps is May, 15. Assets will continue as earlier just with lower supply and next they will migrate to Waves blockchain https://nxtforum.org/cryptoasset-fund-projects/coinomat-assets/Thanks, but I still don't understand why there is a deadline of May 15th for the swap. If I don't swap now it sounds like the assets MUST be migrated to WAVES later on anyway, so why have an 'optional' swap now? It sounds like more work for WAVES team. Are dividends still being paid on NXT & WAVES as before, and if so, in what token? Please explain things as it's still very unclear what the implications are for the 15 May deadline. When will the non-voluntary swap happen? If the time period between May 15 and the migration is small it probably doesn't matter, but if it's long and dividends are paid in different tokens the implications could be huge. I honestly don't feel good about this swap It is just additional opportunity during the ICO, you can swap coinomat assets for Waves if you bought/had them before the 1st May. Final date to make it happen is 15th. Assets will continue next the same like before just with lower supply. When Waves platform is operational those assets will migrate to it. Dividends from assets on the Waves blockchain won`t be paid in NXT for sure. You can stay with your assets on NXT blockchain also, your decision.

I personally agree and it is not decided and hopefully won`t happen at all. Sasha just sees no problem with it IF it is needed and demanded. We won`t make everyone happy as always but for sure if such decisions are to be made, it will involve community voting.

I'm in doubt whether to invest a bit more during the ico. Or speculate on a small dip and buy after launch. I actually don't think there is going to be a big sell-off. Maybe some bounty cashing, but that wouldn't be to specteculair imo. I think I'm going for the first option. Or maybe the second. Aaargh, I just don't know.
