If Hamilton wins pole position in qualifying then he will win the race. Of course if there are no technical problems.
The roads of Monaco are narrow and the cars are bigger this year. It will be very to overtake.

Congratulations to Kimi Raikkonen made pole after 2008 last time great driving from both Ferrari drivers, Hamilton drove very bad and he is really disappointed. He will have hard time to come on some good position on this race.

This is Jenson Button's only race for this season because Alonso will drive to Indy this weekend. Although the car has been changed since last year, Button has shown a fairly good ride and managed to qualify in 9th place in the qualification, but a change of engine parts has cost him a penalty of 15 seats and today he will start last. On the runway in the principality, an experienced pilot like him should finish, and it is not a load of Honda engine. I hope an experienced pilot like him will be able to finish.

It looks that Monaco GP will be very interesting. It will be very hard for Hamilton fight for high positions today. Also, safety car is always expected on Monaco gp and it would interesting how teams react to it and how it can change their race strategy. P.S Interesting fact: last time when Kimi started from pole position and Hamilton started from P13 was France GP 2008.

I now have a slightly different interests and some views on another type of motorsport I advise to see too. The personal world championship in speedway on ice is an annual competition among the strongest athletes of the world in motorcycle racing on ice. It has been held since 1966

Monaco GP 2017 results: 1 Sebastian Vettel Ferrari 1hr 44m 44.340 2 Kimi Raikkonen Ferrari 3.145 3 Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull 3.745 4 Valtteri Bottas Mercedes 5.517 5 Max Verstappen Red Bull 6.199 6 Carlos Sainz Toro Rosso 12.038 7 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes 15.801 8 Romain Grosjean Haas 18.15 9 Felipe Massa Williams 19.445 10 Kevin Magnussen Haas 21.443 11 Jolyon Palmer Renault 22.737 12 Esteban Ocon Force India 23.725 13 Sergio Perez Force India 39.089 14 Lance Stroll Williams 7 Laps 15 Daniil Kvyat Toro Rosso Collision Not classified: Stoffel Vandoorne, Marcus Ericsson, Pascal Wehrlein, Jenson Button, Nico Hulkenberg.
Ferrari decided that they need Vettel in 1st place instead of Raikkonen. It's very important win for Vettel and now he is leading by 25 points against Hamilton in Drivers Championship. Hamilton 7th place wasn't a bad result today. Today we saw very risky attempts to overtake which ended with crash - Button vs Wehrlein and Perez vs Kvyat.
Also, Indy 500 race ended today. T.Sato is winner after overtaking Helio Castroneves in last laps. Alonso performed well, we saw some nice overtakes by him and he was leading in few laps. But 20 laps until finnish he retired due to engine problems. Different car, same story.

@LTU_btc. Ferrari decided? Did you watch the race? Sebastian wanted it more than Kimi and he was faster in the race. Kimi was a little faster in the qualifying but the race is what matters. Kimi should have pushed hard when he was ahead of Sebastian. But no, Sebastian is faster when it counts.

Race was boring can remember when i saw this boring race in Monaco. Hamilton tried but in the end think he was happy with this position, Bottas seem to be little off this race, but Red Bull drivers really tried hard to go on win. In the end you are right Vetter wanted more win then Raikkonen.
Alonso didnt got well in indy500 he retired so it was bad call for him maybe it would be better that he drive here in Monaco, but it was his call.

Yes, Seb was faster and Kimi was called to make a pitstop 5 laps earlier that Vettel would be able to gain advantage before his own pitstop. But I agree that Kimi had to push harder to protect his first position.

But I agree that Kimi had to push harder to protect his first position. Does that lead us to believe that Ferrari knew Sebastian will be ahead in the end if they did an earlier pitstop for Kimi? I do not think so. Kimi should take advantage and drive faster with his new tires if he wanted to be at 1st place.

Alonso did great, he was 1th during 27 laps for his first time ever in an Indy car, he was going faster in the last laps before the motor broke. It was again bad luck for Alonso. If his motor didn't break, he could have reached top5 because he was in overtaking mode. Dont forget that he was behind Takuma Sato and Sato won.

The news all about Fernando Alonso coming out are all funny. There is always a mention of a Honda engine failure included in it as if his problems with Honda in Formula 1 are not enough.

Watched replay of the race he is really bad luck with Honda, shame he is really good driver but bad luck with Honda is now really bad for Alonso. Dunno if he is considering to retire or what but think that he had enough of them they need to deliver good engine and competitive one. Back in late 80s and early 90s they were very dominant. They can take this likely they need good engine fast. McLaren is becoming shadow of former great team in F1.

Yep this is bad publicity for Honda, as a consumer you look at what is happening in F1 and feel not as inclined to buy an Honda car, even tho I believe Honda mas great cars like the Civic. I also think something specific about the Alonso team is what's wrong because Takuma had a completely different team even tho it's Honda too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmUX6nFKNZkThis double overtake was cool.

Alonso wants the triple crown, so he will try again to win the Indy 500, next time it will be easier for him because he already got the experience of going through it all at least once.
He also wants to win the 24h Leemans race, so im looking forward to that.
It will depend on how good his Formula 1 year is next year, if the car is still a scam, he will try again.

There are doubts about the participation of Valentino Rossi at the next gp of Italy (Mugello). He had a bad accident while training in motocross.
I am convinced that he will do everything to participate in the race, whether it is running in Italy or not to lose too many points for the World Championship
