Max Verstappen showed a spectacular performance in the last GP... he started from 17th position, overtook everyone even in the pouring rain on the Interlagos circuit and won the 21st GP with a great time, which lasted an incredible 2 hours and 27 minutes. Alpine also surprised me and deservedly took the podium with Esteban Ocon and Pierry Gasly finishing in second and third place.

I am Brazilian and I would have loved to have seen this spectacle in person, even in the rain. It was a very exciting GP.

It was the second time in a row that Verstappen won in Brazil and, in addition, ended a drought of ten races and four months without winning. Now he is still in the fight for the title with the recent 26 points won, with a total of 393 against Norris's 331.

What is it with Verstappen, the Brazil track and the rain?   He also had a brilliant race in the same track, under the same weather conditions and had one of his most brilliant performances.  

Anyway...  What is it?  Is it skill, talent or just luck?  The guy who qualified on pole says it's just luck.    Not really sure if it's salt or what, but yeah...

Before the race, nobody had predicted that Verstappen would win, but he delivered one of the best performances I’ve seen recently, securing his first victory after 133 days. With this victory, Verstappen is now very close to becoming a world champion. In fact, Verstappen's mockery of the British press after the race was a sign that he is now relaxed.

The task for Martin is easier so he should not force himself to win the race because he needs to collect 14 points only in the last race or simply winning the sprint race will secure the title.
Although the feel will be much better for such a rider to win the world champion and win the race at the same time but I think Martin should be realistic because if he forces himself too much then it may lead him into a mistake.
It would be really bad if Martin will not be able to win the world championship title this season because he is absolutely in bigger advantage than Pecco.

There is no doubt that Max Verstappen showed why he is the best driver on the track, dude is just on another level. While all other drivers drove very carefully for fear of crashing, and some also crashing anyways, he drove the car like a true racer and took that risk and with his talent he kept the car going as well. While I do agree that Alpine did a great job, they used luck a bit more, and they were really looking like this weather helps them a lot. At this point they do not have a car, they have a boat .

Norris must be feeling quite sad after this race, there are like three races left if I remember right and that means there won't be that much time left for him to win the title, doesn't feel like that will happen. I am not saying it is going to be impossible, the math is there and it could be a possible situation. Right now the gap between them is 62, and that means with 3 races left, if  Norris gets wins on all of them, that would be 75 points, and if Max gets only 12 or less points in three races that would be Norris win. But if Max gets a podium again, the season is over. I believe Max already won the title already, the rest is just waiting but with this race he already got it.

Verstappen's race was tremendous, but how can we really forget the luck factor. If it hadn't been for the red flag, he would have fallen to the back again with a pit stop. Maybe he could have climbed, maybe he couldn't, we don't know, but he certainly had a significant advantage. I didn't watch Norris statement, but he might have said it for this part.

Except for Alpine and Red Bull, it was as if they were guests at the race. They felt like they wanted to finish the race and go home. I would have liked to see more competition, especially Hamilton, Sainz, Perez and Alonso struggled a lot in the race and were far, far behind their teammates, except Alonso. They probably had tuning problems.

In the final race which will be held at the Catalunya Circuit in Barcelona, ​​Martin no longer has a lot of pressure because he no longer needs a win to secure his title this season and yes if Bagnaia is able to win again in the full race in the closing session for this season, he is the only rider who has been able to win more than ten times in a season and not become world champion. And I'm sure Martin will just play it safe in the last session later because he only needs 11 points in the full race and 3 points in the Sprint race.

I think Martin will be very smart and not risk too much, third place in the sprint race would put him in a very good starting position if Bagnaia wins at all.


Due to the storms and flooding in Valencia, the Grand Prix was understandably postponed to Barcelona, where the teams don't have so much data and will certainly be an exciting race, I don't think the World Championship will be really interesting again, Bagnaia would have to win the sprint and Martin would have to retire, but I don't think so.
