Today was FP1 at the Sachsenring MotoGP, and Marquez was immediately the fastest rider, having won eight times at the Sachsenring in the MotoGP class and eleven times across all classes. This is a favorite circuit for Marquez, as he's always strong at the German circuit, and I wouldn't be surprised if Marquez wins every session, as he's never had any trouble at the Sachsenring. However, if the weather is very different tomorrow than today, we might see very different sprint conditions.

Sanchsenring is M. Marquez's flagship circuit as he has won several times there. The circuit seems to have suited the Spaniard's racing style perfectly.

Things are getting more concrete slowly then... This is absolutely the start of a downfall for Red Bull. 

From what I read, his brother-in-law said that Max will determine his future at Red Bull in August, whether he will stay or decide to move to Mercedes is still uncertain, but what is certain is that he also does not want this rumor to continue to grow like a wild ball. Let's wait and see what Max decides, whether he stays at Red Bull or not. And the way I see it, whatever Max decides is best for him, because he understands himself best. But I myself hope that he can stay at Red Bull - it's like his DNA is embedded there.

In other news, there are words swirling around that the Red Bull CEO was responsible for Horner's sacking and that the owners of Red Bull and Helmut Marko supported the move.  But then...  It was also said that Vertappen was upset with the decision.  Dun dun duuun...

Yeah, high possibility Verstappen decides to go to Mercedes and signs a contract at the end of the season.

Do you know why M. Marquez performed so well during his move to Ducati?

That's a very interesting question, and I'll answer based on what I've seen so far. Marquez came to Ducati when the bike was ready to go without any major overhaul. This also happened when Marquez joined Honda in 2013, when the Honda bike was indeed competitive and capable of winning championships in the hands of the right rider.

If Pecco moves from Ducati, do you think he will perform like the previous season?

Pecco Bagnaia is a rider who has provided more input to Ducati, enabling him to become two consecutive world champions on a Ducati. This means that Bagnaia is the type of rider who is able to provide input on his own riding, and this is not much different from his previous rider, Dovizioso, when he was with Ducati, even though Dovizioso never won a MotoGP world championship. And if Bagnaia moves to a factory team other than Ducati, I think he'll have to adapt more to the bike, as each bike has its own unique characteristics.

Furthermore, I once read a post from someone who frequently visits the MotoGP paddock, where he said that Aprilia tried to persuade Bagnaia to move to their team, but unfortunately, the clause he had to pay Ducati was quite substantial, as Bagnaia's contract with Ducati runs until the end of next season. So, we need to keep an eye on this in case there are any other surprises next season, as the news that's currently trending is about Toprak from WSBK moving to MotoGP.

I mean we all know that that is the main rumour in the whole paddock man, I know his word is more relevant since he have a more close relationship with Max because of his family ties, but come on is nothing new, this only sum more drama and not facts.

Finally, Fabio Di Giannantonio from the VR46 team managed to be the fastest in this practice session at the Sachsenring in Germany by setting a new lap record because he was able to break Jorge Martin's lap record which was set last year at the Sachsenring. I hope he can still make a big surprise in tomorrow's qualifying session because tomorrow all riders will try to set their best time to be in the front row. But on the other hand, I still think that tomorrow Marquez will make another extraordinary time breakthrough if the weather is good enough.

I can understand Max being in talks with Mercedes, after all Mercedes lost Hamilton so they were looking for a superstar, makes sense for both sides, Red Bull basically lost all people that made Red Bull what it is today, so moving to Mercedes would make sense. But, Antonelli part doesn't make sense to me. I get it, George and Max hates each other, and because of that being teammates would be very tough, but getting rid of someone like George Russell feels like a mistake, it is clear to me that he is better than Antonelli.

In this case, if George Russel isn't at Mercedes after this season, then where will he race? Will he go to a top team? Or will he have to become one of those drivers who slowly phase out by picking a bad team, aka Sainz right now for example.

Despite qualifying in wet conditions due to the rain, Marquez still managed to secure first place in today's qualifying session. He truly mastered every corner layout at the Sachsenring circuit in Germany, so I think he will be able to win today's Sprint Race and also possibly win again on Sunday. So, there is some truth to what some people say that today's qualifying session will be held in wet conditions, but for the Sprint Race session, we still don't know whether it will be dry or still wet. Let's look forward to it together because the Sprint race in wet conditions can be quite exciting.

^  Red Bull is a huge possbility as it wouldn't be farferched as I already said.  If not, then there's a couple more of options for Russell.  There's the new team Cadillac and Alpine has a seat available.  The former is kind of a bad team to land in with Russell's F1 resume but the latter is a pretty good destination imho.

And yeah, pretty sure Verstappen has already started some negotiations with Mercedes.  I hope it pushes thru and we get to hear Verstappen and Bono on the radio.

Marquez was truly extraordinary in today's Sprint Race session, where he slipped into the first corner after running wide. He was still able to overtake every opponent in front of him, including Quartararo and Bezzecchi, who rode the Aprilia factory bike, even though both riders had already created a gap on their opponents behind. But Marquez was still able to slowly overtake them with each lap, reducing the time gap, even though the conditions were not easy because today's Sprint was run in wet conditions.

Yeah Red Bull will be the only sensible option left for Russell in that situation. And the same for Red Bull as well.    Where can they find another reliable driver like Verstappen in the end, right?

If another Mercedes domination starts as of next season then Verstappen would probably break bigger records.

I can understand Max being in talks with Mercedes, after all Mercedes lost Hamilton so they were looking for a superstar, makes sense for both sides, Red Bull basically lost all people that made Red Bull what it is today, so moving to Mercedes would make sense. It would be a very funny thing if Max moved to Mercedes and Russell to Red Bull. It would be like the opposite day lol. But it's all just speculation, since Russell said that he will stay at Mercedes and Max has not decided to move to Mercedes. But the meeting between Max and Toto was not a coincidence, there must be something they discussed, according to Schumacher, it is possible that Max and Toto discussed GT3 which Max is interested in driving their car, and another possibility is about Max's future career - but it is not certain that Max will go to Mercedes, it is still just speculation. So there are still many things that are unclear about this.

Once again Marquez won.
I was joking at the start of the season with the all time high points for a driver in a single season.

But at this point I think he is able to do so.

It turns out that this weekend there is also WSBK at the Donington Park circuit in England where Toprak was able to win with a fairly large gap over Bulega in Race1 yesterday and as a result of this victory, Toprak has now become the rider with the most wins at the Donington Park circuit because he has been able to win 10 times there and has surpassed Tom Sykes who has collected nine wins at Donington Park during his career in the WSBK event. And today there is the SuperPole Race and Race2, but I will watch the MotoGP race first before watching Race2 for WSBK.

The next track is Spa-Francorchamps. One of the lovely tracks in the calendar truthfully. It's been under the domination of Hamilton and Verstappen in the last 5 years. But this is very likely to change unless we see some surprises - by an impact of the weather also maybe.

Russell shouldn't sign for a lower team than the ones in top 4 right now. As there is no room at Ferrari and McLaren he should just continue his career at Red Bull. 

Cadillac... I don't know about this. We literally have no idea about how fast their car will be right? For now at least. I don't think Russell would like to take that risk. He is one of the best drivers on the grid.

This is why he is labelled as the King of Sachsenring and I think he will win the main race as well especially it will be a dry race (looking at the current weather).
Perhaps if he will not make a mistake, he will look more superior in the main race and maybe with a bigger gap to the other riders.
The only enemy for Marquez is himself, as long as he does not make a big mistake then there will be no one who can beat him.
As usual, with a dry race, I hope to see a better competitive race with some interesting overtaking by riders.

Mercedes domination?  Not Ferrari?    Remember, Horner is available now and there's no other team that could hire his services except maybe Aston Martin if Lawrence Stroll gives way and lets a proper team principal run the team.  Maybe he could even tell his son to drop out too and they try to get Verstappen... 

So the whole gang, Horner - Newey - Verstappen, will be back together but just in a different team.  Now that would be boring imho.  I'd rather see Verstappen under Toto Wolff and Hamilton under Horner at Ferrari.
