There was a sprint format also in Austria last season. But this time, there isn't. Is it good? I think yeah, better.    Only a small number of sprint races have been fun for real as far as I remember.

It all depends on how good is the track.
Many street tracks are better than older tracks.

For example?
Saudi Gp is way batter than Monaco Gp, Imola and Barcellona.

Also others track like Canada, Las Vegas are not terrible.

Of course, I agree with it there. Some street tracks are really much better than some race tracks. I just hope not to see the number of street tracks dominating the season in the future.

It is a personal thing I mean. I love race tracks more in general.

According to Austrian media, Norris will not start in Austria on Friday.

Youngster Alex Dunne will be in Norris' cockpit for the first practice session.

So far McLaren haven't run their rookies, so they need to run them for mandatory requirements.. and the Red Bull circuit is fairly easy for the drivers, so they don't need a full practice session to get used to the circuit.

In Austria, however, I don't think Mercedes will be at the front, but the McLaren and Verstappen again.

It is likely that McLaren and Max will be on the front row again, but Max will probably keep his pace and not be too aggressive to win the race, so that the incident in last year's race where they lost the podium at this circuit will not happen again. Mercedes still has a chance to win the race, but not so high, even though they just won the Canadian GP yesterday.

In Austria, however, I don't think Mercedes will be at the front, but the McLaren and Verstappen again.

Yeah...  But that's exactly how everybody thought about Mercedes last race.  It's hard to count them out when they as a team could show glimpses of brilliance out there.

So yeah, with their consistent competitiveness in Austria in the past, it's hard to count them out.

For the Partner issue in MotoGP it is not at all surprising for some who have been following MotoGP for a long time because the change is a worthy thing, but for now the Ducati factory still has its usual sponsors so even though there are some small sponsors coming in for the team. But for now there is more viral news in the MotoGP scene which is about the acquisition of Liberty Media which will hold 84% of MotoGP shares and the other 16% is owned by Dorna. And I think it will also be more interesting because Liberty Media has also made F1 more successful at this time.

Yeah, but the thing is other teams have their own raft of upgrades coming be it a new floor, a new wing, some side pod modifications, rear suspension adjustments, etc, etc...  And all we get is more of the same.  There will be no drastic changes in the order of the table.

But next season tho might be a different scenario for Ferrari.  It'd be exciting if Ferrari is on top and Mercedes close on their tail.    Hopefully they get Verstappen for another close round of Hamilton vs Verstappen.

Have you seen Vasseur's statement? He said something like they'd prefer to finish the season in the 2nd place than the 4th. He is honest about the current situation at least.  

There have been even rumours regarding a team principal change for Ferrari. But I doubt they need it lately. They need a bigger change than that. I hope they get well-prepared for 2026 season which is about to be revolutionary.

I would also like a change a lot. Because I don't think the current FIA president is acting fair to every team either. 

For example they overlooked McLaren's breaking the rules by using unapproved wings for a long time. The one gave them a mini-DRS effect I mean.

Formula 1 deserves a much better management than this. I wish his opponent didn't withdraw from the election.

Wdym?  A good team principal is actually needed to bring the right changes in how the team is run.  I think they'll need a guy like Christian Horner or a Ross Brawn type, who knows the technical ins and outs of the car and who knows who to run a team. 

And speaking of Brawn, how old is he?  He could still run a team if he's around 60.    But I've been seeing a name always mentioned as future Ferrari team principal...  Coletta?

There are rumors that Vasseur's position will be replaced, and the position that fills the seat is Antonello Coletta, who has led Ferarri to win the Le Mans race for three consecutive years. He is a key figure in Ferarri's strength in WEC racing and he is a potential candidate to replace Vasseur. But this is still just a rumor, since it has not been confirmed whether Coletta wants to leave the WEC and become an F1 team principal. Even so, Ferarri's current internals are not satisfied with Vasseur's achievements which seem to be enough with this season and want to focus on 2026.

Oscar Piastri spoken in an intervies.
He said that after the crash between the cars in Canada the drivers will still be free to race.
He also said that Lando apologized himself and the relationship is still good between them.

For now they are free to race but they must be sure that they will don't come into accident again.

So at the next one free for race will be banned imho.

Really a good opportunitie missed, because Carlos Sainz is a senior and not only that because he is a REAL DRIVER and his family is pure racing, so it was gonna be a person who really knows about the sport from inside.

Looks like he doesn't want to miss the chance to compete in the Dakar Rally in January, according to some articles I've read. Not sure if that's the real reason. His announcement says he thinks the current atmosphere is not ideal for his candidacy, not sure what he's referring to.

It's a shame if spending enough money is enough to bribe people, tho, because it means even if there are complaints, nobody is really there to change the status quo. CMIIW.

This weekend MotoGP heads straight to TT Assen Netherlands where the Yamaha factory team will be competing with a special livery because Yamaha is celebrating its 70th anniversary in racing. And for the FP1 time there was a slight delay because the track conditions had to be cleaned first due to the less than supportive weather, but for now it can be used and soon FP1 for the MotoGP class will begin. By the way, does anyone know why Valentino Rossi no longer follows MotoGP's Instagram after the Mugello series last week?

Hopefully he won't burn himself out by the time it's qualifying tho.  Lolol.

Russell at top again! Interesting. This is just FP1 maybe but I'm still curious. Will he manage to maintain a win streak or not? By the way Ferrari and McLaren had one of their academy drivers in this session. Alex Dunne did a pretty good job.

I don't know, they have had many different team principals but still no changes. Horner was a rumour but not happening I guess. The crew needs a significant change. I exclude pit crew of course as they are much better this season. 

But if Vasseur has no intention of making this change then he should leave, yeah. Ferrari just needs trustworthy employees everywhere.

Im just waiting to see the second free practice from the Austrian Gp, but so far and with only the info from the first one seems like Mercedes is saying something, something like, it was not luck what happen on Canada, it was real and we are gonna fight.

Verstappen super close and also looking pretty good against the Mcclaren, is gonna be a interesting qualy and race.
