As far as spending bitcoins is concerned, I am a bit lagging behind. I would very much welcome its usage on a daily basis if there are more merchants that accept it and if transaction speeds are real-time or at least as fast as possible.

Yeah if you don't have a choice to spend them directly at offline stores then you can go for bitcoin debit card and it will help you in buying almost anything and if your country doesn't supports it then you always have an option to sell them and convert them to your local currency.

Yeah dude my country is supports bitcoin debit card but in my region not like that. I can not use anything with bitcoin debit card here. I should change my bitcoin into my fiat first before buy or pay something with my money.
If i want to use bitcoin debit card should move another island in my country to use it.
That is a major problem that most of the users are facing at a moment that they cannot spend their bitcoins directly for buying anything and even using bitcoin debit card in certain countries is hard, so people either prefer to save their coins for the future or sell them and exchange to fiat currency.

In my country, banks do not accept Bitcoin. Unable to pay official Bitcoin. It is very difficult to use cryptocurrency
Until now I don't know why banks not accept bitcoin, the big factors maybe government bank also not approve for receive bitcoin. I hope next time any banks will accept bitcoin
Banks will never accept bitcoin, it goes completly against what they stand for.
On second thought why would you even need or want a bank to accept bitcoin, banks are what we are trying to get away from.

bitcoin is too small for them to think about it as something against them and they can't do anything about bitcoin's growth and adoption apart from spreading FUD.

so if some day the growth and the adoption reached a level that banks feel like they are losing a good market to make profit from, they will surely start accepting bitcoin too and offer services like a wallet to their users.

They would even lose the accounts history, meaning the risk of getting your money stolen from your account without ever having the opportunity to get it back again. At least for now the banks can still look up on your account and see where your money has been withdrawn from or sent to, so the thief can be tracked.

Yeah but what happens in the many cases where the bank is the thief, just the fees they charge is a crime in itself.

No banks will never accept bitcoin, no matter what happens they just wont because there is nothing in it for them.

The more likely scenario we will see is the banks releasing their own digital currency, won't be the same as bitcoin though because I can guarantee you that it won't be open source.

I have complete contradicting perspective from you.

Banks will accept bitcoins as one of the instrument to deposit/withdraw funds as banks needs to find new ways to attract people to keep using their services.

If a bank releases its own digital currency, there will not be any differences from what they are currently having in the name of internet banking. It is useful only within them. The private currency has no significant usages. Moreover they are already having that but without blockchain/crypto part.

It depends on your projection with the future of bitcoin, if you believe that the price in the future will be good then it is just good to wait for the price increase than spending your precious bitcoin. You have to consider it as your investment rather than a currency.

The correct amount to spend is whatever you fell comfortable spending, personally I don't have any problem spending bitcoin, since I always spend it in things I needed it.

When converting it, is it not also spending? I thought that was also like spending or helping at least for someone else to have a chance to buy bitcoin. If you are converting it to a website that sells and buys coins.

I use bitcoin as a currency, and by this, I mean that I use it to buy goods, pay for services, etc.
Some I sell for fiat and some are set aside as speculative investment.

I don't really have anything against banks. So, if I don't like the service/fees that a bank offers/charges then I simply don't use them. On the other hand, just because I use bitcoin does not mean I can't or won't use banks anymore. Both has their own pros and cons.

Now for whether banks would, in the future, accept/use bitcoin, I think this is highly doubtful. There is no use. Unless of course, banks sees some profit in it and they find a way to make it work or use it to their advantage. They're a business, so if they see enough profit, then why not.

Yes, The merchants that accept bitcoin is very limited but I can stil use my bitcoins by converting it to my local currency, The negative part of this is I have to pay 2 different kind of fees.  One is fee for the exchange site and One for the remittance center where I will get the money.

I can only spend my bitcoins directly to online shops like purse.io.  It will be nice if bitcoin is widely accepted so we can have low fees when spending them

Exchanging bitcoin isnt spending, just changing the currencie into another, in the general people does exchange to spend into something they cant buy with bitcoin, or to put those money into the banks as saving.

Keep some and spend some. That should be our motto here to make bitcoin more inviting to everyone. Merchants or even investors. Even those online shops would open up a bitcoin paying method if they would see it could really be used as transaction method.
Spending is not good when you are earning bitcoin for me if you really want to earn bitcoin that fast then you need to investment them from trading and from gambling also and inviting friends to use bitcoin we can use bitcoin now from merchants from selected either as payment method i don't spend bitcoin every day just for emergencies.

when the price of Bitcoin has been below $ 700, I often spent on different Bitcoin purchases through the Internet. But now, when the price has grown, I do not hurry to do it. It is likely that in the future the price will grow further

Sometimes we feel the need to make spending bitcoin. of course it will help the bitcoin indirectly, but users will definitely be confusion where they will start spending bitcoin? including me
Confused on where to spend bitcoins, really? Just search the net or ask the businesses directly if they accept bitcoin as payment or not.
There is nothing confusing about it.
There is nothing to be confused of when spending bitcoin. There are tons of businesses out there that accept bitcoins
Another way to find it too is by checking on the service announcement section on this forum or using google.

Spending bitcoin will become more handy if you plan to to get bitcoin debit cards, but you need to some extra fees, but you will get the power of spending bitcoin literally everywhere.
Yeah if you don't have a choice to spend them directly at offline stores then you can go for bitcoin debit card and it will help you in buying almost anything and if your country doesn't supports it then you always have an option to sell them and convert them to your local currency.

If a country support credit and debit cards from their bank then for sure they should have ATM to withdraw money from their cards so it means that bitcoin debit card can be used too.

I suppose you mean everywhere outside the Internet, because right now in the cyber world we can spend our bitcoins from any part of the world for any service or product that can be acquired on-line.

Spending bitcoin online is not an issue because there are always some ways to spend them but for people the fees matters, if it cost cheaper to purchase by cash then why using bitcoin and paying third party fees?

One of the reason why people can't spend bitcoin in their daily activities because they are speculating that bitcoin will increase in price.  So rather than spending, they would just wait for bitcoin to increase in price and  take profit on it.  Another thing is that bitcoin is good in online transaction but it does not play well in offline transaction where you need to pay to the cashier directly when you are buying stuff.  Maybe we need more merchant that accept bitcoin directly when buying items in groceries and marketplaces.

As far as spending bitcoins is concerned, I am a bit lagging behind. I tend to convert it to fiat more than spend it as is, mainly because of the limited options of using it in transactions in my place. I would very much welcome its usage on a daily basis if there are more merchants that accept it and if transaction speeds are real-time or at least as fast as possible.

When converting it, is it not also spending? I thought that was also like spending or helping at least for someone else to have a chance to buy bitcoin. If you are converting it to a website that sells and buys coins.
yeah actually both are the same but spending doesn't affect the market on selling volume but converting will effect even very little or near to nothing
but still bot are the same, spending bitcoins in order to get the stuff you needs
Exchanging bitcoin isnt spending, just changing the currencie into another, in the general people does exchange to spend into something they cant buy with bitcoin, or to put those money into the banks as saving.
I disagree with this, when you exchange your bitcoin to another crypto or fiat you are buying money with money, for a lot of people this does not make a lot of sense but that is what it is and that is why we have markets like forex where you can buy the currencies of the world with your own.

Bitcoin is not designed for in store transactions, cash and debit cards can take care of that without any hassles, online transactions is were we need people spending their coins.
Many supermarkets now have a "pay & go" system so people can pick up their shopping on the way home. Groceries is a great example of how you can spend online for an in store pick up.
