One of the reason why people can't spend bitcoin in their daily activities because they are speculating that bitcoin will increase in price.  So rather than spending, they would just wait for bitcoin to increase in price and  take profit on it.  Another thing is that bitcoin is good in online transaction but it does not play well in offline transaction where you need to pay to the cashier directly when you are buying stuff.  Maybe we need more merchant that accept bitcoin directly when buying items in groceries and marketplaces.
Bitcoin is not designed for in store transactions, cash and debit cards can take care of that without any hassles, online transactions is were we need people spending their coins.
Many supermarkets now have a "pay & go" system so people can pick up their shopping on the way home. Groceries is a great example of how you can spend online for an in store pick up.
Great advice dude, I guess that business is viable for bitcoin, they can just bitcoins for the payment and their groceries are ready. I like the idea, maybe I will try to study it further and try to experiment here in our country.

That's what I am talking, we can get valuable information here by being active.

But see, options like these are still very limited by region/country which leaves some people little choice but to convert to fiat.
Mainly because unless one were buying Digital goods which can be easily sent anywhere, they would end up with high delivery fees if they were to buy physical goods from online stores.
Not to mention the fees charged by third-party payment processors since the selection from online stores that directly accepts btc are either limited by product or overpriced(premiums).

It would be another matter entirely if those options like "pay & go" system were widely available, sadly that is still to come.

Anyway, I personally consider Bitcoin as a currency, as such it could be used for payments, converted, etc,(whichever is more convenient/reasonable) Shouldn't be limited or restrained to online transactions. I'm not gonna pay $20 when I could get it at $10 just so I could say, I used bitcoin to pay for it.

when the price of Bitcoin has been below $ 700, I often spent on different Bitcoin purchases through the Internet. But now, when the price has grown, I do not hurry to do it. It is likely that in the future the price will grow further
of course we will save even more when prices are high because we think that we will benefit when holding longer Lol
when we can pay less when prices rise right ?

I don't see why you should stop spending your bitcoins now that the price has risen, if you are not planing to invest taking advantage of an increase in price will allow you to buy more with the same bitcoin.

actually when the price had risen and now touching about $700 and maybe even further it's the right time to spend bitcoin, your bitcoin's value will getting higher and therefore you could pay stuff with lower amount of bitcoin compared to when bitcoin's price is below $700,regardless to your fear of bitcoin price to rising again

I think that bitcoin is currently a bit too unstable to use as a everyday currency. This is because of the people's perception that USD is the ultimate money and bitcoin is not. If we can conduct transactions with bitcoins on a day to day basis we can establish a price in btc, instead of USD and help bitcoin consolidate its place as a true currency.

USD fluctuates in price too. What we need to do is create an economy that accepts bitcoin at face value, but not at its USD value.

Most people sell while only few have the balls to hold longer. It's what the reality is telling, many people needs money while some can wait to grow for the future.

It depends upon the situation for each individual, what if you are into a trouble and you desperately need money. And the situation is you don't have enough cash for using for sustaining that problem so your last choice would be spending your bitcoins by converting it to cash. There are some things and situation that we can consider even though we are saying that we don't need to use or spend our bitcoins because we are holding it.

Under emergencies or in desperate need of money you will have to sell, what matter is to attend the emergency as you cannot enjoy the money anymore.

No offense but that is very unlikely, dollars are taken at face value in the US because they have the backing of the American government, but in other places of the world they take them taking into consideration the value of the dollar against the national currency, since bitcoin is not backed by any government very few people if any will take bitcoin at face value.

I am not seeing any unstableness in bitcoins as of now. but I cant spend it in daily activities as bitcoin is not yet accepted almost about anywhere in my country, people dont even know about it. So, I have to use fiat, but I use bitcoins for purchasing a premium currency in a game.

If you are a business owner or you know someone who does business online, then you can help speed up adoption by accepting bitcoins as payment for your goods or services.

Myself as a freelance writer, I am always offering that option to clients when I quote now. So far, other than for very small jobs in places such as these, I have not yet received payment for my services in bitcoin.

There is hope though. It took years for clients in my country to adopt paypal and now at least a third of people in the creative industry in my country accept paying out through paypal - some exclusively.

Yes for now because the availability of using bitcoins is still limited and you still need to convert your bitcoins in physical currency and that's what I do for now. But soon there would be more services that can be offer using bitcoins.

We do have a similar service in which you could pay nearly almost every bill available such as utility, power, water bills and whatnot. Also, you could use the said service to recharge your mobile, order online game credits and an online wallet service. As for casual spending, you could get a debit card in which you could load up your bitcoins in there and do payments on a restaurant or a supermarket as if you're just using a regular credit card.

I personally looked up many bitcoin debit cards but did not order one as their fees are too high for someone like me, i'm not a professional bitcoin earner so if i pay 3% everytime spending my bitcoins it would take away all what i might have, i prefer converting them to fiat and spending them then.

No bitcoin debit card should be charging 3% just to use the card, a couple of them will charge 1% to load the card but never to spend.
ATM's will charge fees to use their machines but thats different.

Do you know how much you have to pay in fees when converting to fiat?

As for casual spending, you could get a debit card in which you could load up your bitcoins in there and do payments on a restaurant or a supermarket as if you're just using a regular credit card.

I personally looked up many bitcoin debit cards but did not order one as their fees are too high for someone like me, i'm not a professional bitcoin earner so if i pay 3% everytime spending my bitcoins it would take away all what i might have, i prefer converting them to fiat and spending them then.

Were in the same situation. I also prefer to convert my earnings to fiat and spend it in buying my stuffs than to buy online using bitcoin or by using a credit card. I think I can save more by cashing out my money than by using a credit card for i have to pay a larger fee on it plus the interest to be payed. I think it's  more practical for me to convert my bitcoin into cash and spend it.

We do have a similar service in which you could pay nearly almost every bill available such as utility, power, water bills and whatnot. Also, you could use the said service to recharge your mobile, order online game credits and an online wallet service. well if you are thinking for benefits yes that's the simplest way to use bitcoin but if thinking for how to help the chain and how to make more adoption i guess we also needed to support those online shop that cater bitcoin payments for them to succeed and be more helpful for more possible users in coming days.

I am not fun of spending my bitcoin online, I prefer to go in a store and select the items I like to buy. I just love bitcoin because it's an investment for me and my money have grown a significant amount when I started using bitcoin.

While we can use debit cards loaded with bitcoin I think that defeats the purpose of using bitcoin and its not exactly what most people here will want to do since we want to pay with bitcoin directly.
