How are you ever going to develope Crypto-software if you can't even develope a website without using a wordpress template??
I have heard people say things like this to other developers. When someone questions the use of a wordpress template, it makes me wonder if they understand what "CSS" means. Regardless, I have worked in 6 coding languages in various projects. This is also more than "crypto-software", which to this point isn't really doing well at going mainstream. So...if you are going to not do research on the project, then criticize Brock's work, I have to side with Brock here, as he has done most of the work with updating the site. Since I am busy with many things, Brock handles the site administration, and sometimes I will help out if he is busy with something else. If you want to learn what the project is actually about, please take a minute and read the white paper. Cheers! Chris

Hello everyone,
First off, let me thank everyone who participated in Phases 1, and 2 of Bitland ICO. We are glad that there are people who believed in the project enough to support us with a little over $38k USD! That is a tremendous help when it comes to crowd funding efforts. Many people donated various amounts, even down to $.08, which is $.08 that we appreciate just the same as anything else. When it comes to getting a crowd to do something together, even something as simple as a pick-up game of basketball can be difficult to see to completion. At this point, we have gained support from a group of people who are looking to help Bitland bring land right protection to disenfranchised areas.
The first thing we are going to do is sign a 3 year lease in Ghana on a building in a semi-rural area that is on the outskirts of Kumasi. The first Ghana center is going to be in between so that the benefits of the outskirts of local infrastructure becomes the starting point, rather than going head first into the most rural areas.
The center will hopefully be up and running within the next two months. As we work towards getting the first center equipped to handle the pilot, we will be approaching other regions and other countries to start pilot projects in other areas to test different parts of the protocol before combining everything. In addition, we will be promoting the Omni portal as the source of purchasing new Cadastrals to get onto the market.
Currently there are only about 44,000 Cadastrals for sale on the open market. That means the other 600,000 that people are sitting on, they aren't even THINKING about selling right now.
So, I would start telling your friends about the Omni Portal if you are part of the community and want to see Bitland succeed.

Again, thanks for the support!
Cheers!

i tried telling people and they do not like open ledger and omni wallet because it is not user friendly. if you want people to support bitland you need presence somewhere else. Omni and open ledger is almost 0 presence. as long as bitland is only on omni and open ledger, it will not get more public support.

I understand the need to be user friendly, and have said this repeated times.
I am not sure that people are understanding what the project is about vs. what we need to focus on.
If we have a partner through which we are selling Cadastrals, and all I receive is repeated requests from the same people that "we won't tell anyone about this until you change portals", then I can't really have anything to work with there.
It has to be a give and take. We can't get on another exchange without getting more funds into the Omni portal.
If you're telling me we can't get more funds into the Omni portal without getting on another exchange, then we are at an impasse.
Again, I guess if you want to see Cadastrals on Poloniex, you should tweet at the Poloniex people. I cannot do anything about their decisions, as I have nothing to do with deciding who gets on their exchange.
I wish I were a genie, but as many times as someone asks me to get on another exchange, there are only a couple ways to do it:
Either YOU ALL make enough noise and get them to pay attention
or
We raise more funds through Omni portal and eventually buy our way onto Bittrex
It is fairly simple.
As of now, the focus of the project is "the project". Not "getting on another exchange". So again, please understand, this project is about "the project".
We will do everything within our power to get on another exchange as soon as possible, but as many times as someone repeatedly asks, I cannot make magic.
These things take time.

poloniex will not add this. you are fixated on BTC for exchange. LOTS of coins have gone to bittrex and other exchanges and paid 0 BTC. If you talk to bittrex people, they will work with you. If you do not, then that is your loss. Yes community can help. You can do some very easy things to help to like talk to bittrex but you won't.

I am going to leave one last message. If Bitland remains on open ledger and omni wallet only. It will fail from lack of exposure. There ARE things the Dev can do without any community help to get on other exchanges but this is only if the dev is willing to and without costing even 0.01 BTC. We will see what is done, rest is up to you dev. Please remember that dev is responsible for the project, not the community. Community is here to support you not do things for you, we already gave you BTC is that not enough? If you give me BTC I will do your job for you.

I completely disagree. Anyone who makes this statement is not aware of our plans and is looking at this as a token. Unfortunately, that is how many people will approach this project. You keep saying that I haven't talked to Bittrex, and I HAVE. They want money from us. I am not sure you all understand that small organizations are getting extorted to get on the big exchanges, and we aren't going to get on Bittrex for free. That is just not how it works. I am not fighting you on this, I am trying to explain to you what I and other developers have to deal with. Bittrex isn't putting us on there for free. That's just not happening, and as I said, we talked to them a WHILE back. You are acting as if I am your enemy, and acting as if I am not listening to you, when I am trying to explain the situation. These are not "excuses", this is the reality of having people who want to get money out of you before they let you in the fold. Chris

When can I expect my cadastrals from winning the twitter contest to come through?
I am holding out on sending out PoA tokens until market stabilizes to prevent people from dumping the token. The unfortunate side effect of the "giveaways" that people want is that it incentivizes dumping the token. So in the first week of the market release, I am holding the "free" tokens to be released once there is enough by support to not let the token be dumped to oblivion. Does this make sense? Chris

Therefor those can hardly dumb the coin to oblivion. At least you should tell when you are planning to send them.

GREAT NEWS! I talked to Jacobs Edo today, and we are looking into how Bitland can move into Nigeria. He works for OPEC. He loves Bitland. If you click a few links, you will learn why that is game changing. Bitland is about to do some major things Cheers! Chris

I already stated I am waiting until the market stabilizes. It is not a small amount relative to what is being listed, as it seems many people who bought tokens aren't actually listing them. There are roughly 90-100k tokens for sale right now on the open market. If I sent out the PoA tokens that would represent roughly 10% of the "open market" sale tokens. Even though there were over 600k sold, only 1/6 Cadastrals purchased is actually for sale. So sending out "free" tokens right "now" could still potentially hurt those that actually put money towards the tokens. I am protecting THOSE people. I would imagine they are happy about that. Any opposition? Chris
