I cannot speculate as I have no idea friend, but I would think a place to store cad away from simply OL will be a thing.
Just a guess, perhaps mr bates can answer. ^^
OL stores everything in cold storage, so until you withdraw, nothing is in a "hot wallet" so to speak. Is there a way to withdraw your tokens from OL and store them in a desctop wallet? And yes, I know that wallets are actually storing the private keys and not the actual coins

I have an online and desktop just to see how both work. You can download the desktop here: https://bitshares.org/download/Cheers! Chris

I already downloaded it, now need to check if it gives any added value comparing the online wallet...

Hello everyone,
I want to give the community an update for the sake of transparency:
This morning approximately 5:47 a.m. we began experiencing brute force log-in attack from Ukraine. The attacks were unsuccessful, and the user IP was blocked:
A user with IP address 134.249.131.0 has been locked out from the signing in or using the password recovery form for the following reason: Exceeded the maximum number of login failures which is: 20. The last username they tried to sign in with was: 'admin' User IP: 134.249.131.0 User hostname: 134-249-131-0-gprs.kyivstar.net User location: Kryvyy Rih, Ukraine
Now, in light of recent events in mainstream news, THIS is why we have been following standard software development life cycle protocol. Attacks will happen. Having a closed environment in which to isolate attackers and defend against attacks is MUCH easier than going live with an Alpha version of a protocol. Security has been one of our main focuses from day one, and as we have come under attack and no one would have known otherwise, I believe it is important to inform people of failed attacks when they happen, so it puts the successful attacks into perspective.
Cheers!
Chris

Top 10 Failed Logins User Name Login Attempts Redacted 514 Redacted 243 Redacted 172 This was just today, lol Yeah...Thing is, this attack is ongoing, but we are ahead of the attackers so for us it is just a matter of staying ahead. Again, no one would even know this was going on if I wasn't disclosing. The strange thing about attacks is that when BAD attacks happen, companies try to hide them as long as possible. That is because they don't disclose when they are being attacked and successfully defend. If you are "defending" an attack, and the attack fails, that is a "success". Consider this a success for Bitland today. What you all must understand is that when you are dealing with software development, digital warfare is a real thing. We have been under attack for going on 12 hours, and no one would have known Carry on Cheers! Chris

What are they trying to do with these attacks?
Just based on their approach, I believe they think by breaking in to our site they will somehow get access to the tokens, lol Idiots... They are trying REALLY hard, and based on their persistence it seems like they think they will be getting booty out of it. I don't know...But regardless, it's pretty funny that it's been going on this long. Chris

Also they could try to get get admin rights and start feeding incorrect information.

The inherent problem with failed attacks is that you don't really know what the attacker is TRYING to do. So yes, what you say is absolutely a possibility if not the strongest likely scenario. But as we have said, this is why you create closed environments to establish a way to control how the attackers are handled... Essentially, they are helping us build our castle by showing their attack vectors The attack has actually intensified and has ramped up, but no one would know Cheers! Chris

It is great to see that people outside crypto are recognizing this. That is actually crucial for success, I think.

This is an exchange built on the Bitshares ecosystem. It is very easy to use. You can directly deposit bitshares, btc into openledger. please watch this video for information on openledger https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttN0flPsnBc&feature=youtu.be
