I have 1.8M of these things from solo mining to the windows wallet with my i5 PC since launch.

As for the LTC market bit, you never know, it honestly will be what the community makes it. We will develop and push its usability further into a real-world use system but as for the value, well that's up to you guys.

Come on Choppy Chop lol, I also noticed that the Git Source doesn't have autogen, makefile or leveldb included which is stopping me from completing it.

Our bad! Just noticed that issue! Re-comitted to the github, have a look and see if that helps at all, we are currently using the same source to setup our nodes and did have an issue with leveldb.a but didn't realize it was a simple left out file... in the famous words of Homer Simpson.... DOH...

OK got the Pool working now, it was a bit hidden (nice trick! ) that this coin uses the blake implementation from lyra2rev2 instead of the "normal" blake (14 rnd vs 8 rnd blake)... Pool is now up and running and finding blocks:

can anybody tell, what hashrate ocminers miner achieves with his cpu?
the integrated miner achieves 65KH with an i7-4770, slightly overclocked.

edit:
uh, just saw, the pool just hit one block (hours ago). i think this must be impossible as my i7 got 18 in 6 hours.

ocminer explained it, the hashrate is not MH/s but KH/s... so it seems to be fine.

If it's any consolation a Core i5 achieves roughly ~20KH

Ah, well that question would definitely best be directed to ocminer as we used the built-in miner and now aren't mining at all.

In fact most of us are hitting the sack, been up for 48 hours for this launch. See everyone in a few hours.

if you try the available miner with quark, the miner calculates for the quark algo, NOT hmq1725!


that is why you get difficulty too low.
