Hi!

Just to clarify few things about upcoming Soft Fork.

Date is set to January 5th 2018.

Only thing you need to do is to update your wallet to latest version from here: https://espers.io/downloads/

This soft fork implements fixes the to the chain so the difficulty issue and Pow/PoS ratio is solved. Mining will be working correctly from Jan 5th

We are planning to launch 2 mining pools once the fork has taken place.

This soft fork does NOT include any coin burning, coin swapping or anything like that.

We have contacted exchanges to update their wallet to the latest version and so far I have only had confirmation from Livecoin that they have done so.
I will inform you once other exchanges confirm their update.

It is always the safest to keep your coins in your local wallet.

Please for a newbies, should we move our ESP from exchange site like coinexchange.io before the fork on 5th Jan or we can leave it and expect them to update their wallet to the latest version?

Hi there , i just downloaded ESP wallet from the website and i was trying to install it but it looks like a portable software. i have the Client side i guess.  when i open it  it see WALLET ( OUT OF SYNC) ,NETWORK (OUT OF SYNC), CLIENT STATUS (NOT READY)... I am having a lot of problems with my wallet and no solution seems to work. If anyone can help me out it'd appreciate it. My wallet is showing the incorrect # of espers I own.


I'll post a timeline of my issues:


1. Opened my wallet for the first time in 6 weeks in mid december. Before this it had been working fine and I made my original Espers purchase on Novaexchange this June so it was ESP2.

2. Sent my last remaining coins from novaexchange to my wallet. Transaction appeared on http://espv2.miningalts.com and my wallet address showed the correct amount but my pc wallet did not show the last transaction.

3. Tried fixing the problem with this guide: https://github.com/bitcoinx2/Espers/wiki/Solving-wallet-issues I did rescan and snapshot fix but that didn't solve my issues.

4. Once again tried snapshot and rescan today but now my wallet was showing non of the funds I previously had only 55k that had been staked.

5. Downloaded the new wallet (0.8.7) and now the last novaexchange transaction I did appeared as transaction made today but all of my prevoius Espers don't show up in my wallet, I can see the transaction dates but no funds. My wallet address on espv2.miningalts.com still shows the correct amount.

Does anyone have any idea what this problem might be?

You have previous copy from wallet.dat?
If so, before trying, just to be safe copy the actual one to other location and give it a try

Not sure if this wallet accept rescan=1 in conf file? On other wallets it solved several times my issues wit wrong balance...

I tried my backup dat file and that shows a different amount from my current wallet file even though it's the same address.

My address espv2.miningalts.com still shows the correct amount.

What should I do at this point?

Your wallet version seems to be good

As mentioned in the previous posts. Staking is not working until the 5th of january, so yes the day after tomorrow staking should be working again. But if you will stake on the 5th depends  on your network weight

Coins on Yobit are no good. They are the old Espers token (ESP1) and there was a swap that ended a while ago and the new token is ESP2. Coins from Coinexchange.io are the good ones. If you buy coins on Yobit you are buying worthless tokens with a dead blockchain. Just a waste of money.

I'll support your tweet, but as the developers in Twitter have written, the owners of yobit did not react at all to their appeals. Developers even offered money for switching off the old wallet, but the exchange did not react at all.

The Espers coin is marked for deletion at the end of the month.
