We need a 300/Sparta meme really.... HODL!!! lolz

When you consider potential for IOTA consider this.

There has been exactly one launch of a crypto thay does things differently than Bitcoin (and I don't mean some dark send, new algorithm, or "business idea") and thay is Ethereum.

Ethereum brought smart contracts language and rose from an initial $200 million to at peak over $2 billion in market cap.

IOTA is the first machine to machine payment crypto that works without fees, has its own (will have) dedicated processing architecture and relies on tangle instead of a heavyweight Blockchain.

Now ask yourself. Do you want to sell at $20 million market cap and risk being the person who sold Ethereum at $0.50

People that look at IOTA and say "But it's like way over ICO" aren't understanding anything about the project.

IOTA is the fruit of over 2 years of labor starting back in 2014, and the ICO was simply a way of spreading ownership while being able to finish development. Not a get rich quick scheme. If David just wanted to get filthy rich in an instant he could have set the ICO up for 3 months, hyped the shit out of it and walked off with $20 million.

Everyone is free to value IOTA however they want, but don't compare it to copy paste coins or ICO scams. The team has already proven it's neither.

Thats all I have to say.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

IOTA doesn't have 1/10 the hype that Ethereum had at launch. I believe that if IOTA continues to work well and is continually improved, it will be huge. However, there's no way its launch market cap will compete with the launch of Eth.

Not sure if I agree or not. If you remember Ethereum launching there was no wallet, no hype (most people called it a scam) and price swung wildly.

I personally see no reason IOTA shouldn't be worth $100 million day-1. I'm not saying it's going to happen, but I don't find it odd if it does.

The real value in crypto isn't "hype" but the trust and investment of a few large Bitcon holders. Same for Ethereum.

Believe me, I didn't mean that it was. I simply mean that for the initial price point, it's a huge factor. Obviously not for long term success. I think most IOTA hodlers are in it for the long term, however, so no problems there  Grin

Bet I got you beat on selling ETH too early Smiley I had 75.000 in the crowdsale and sold 80%+ under $2. Still not as bad as dumping 50k Litecoin back in the day for $1.30 less than a month before it hit $40 Smiley

The user Keeqan_Betariqs is trying to steal people IOTA using fake quotes of me in PM. Please do NOT relay quotes. Always confirm with the escrow directly.

You can add me to your Trust list ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust ) to see all the negative feedback i give to scammers if you want.

And this account : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=878051 is a fake account using my nickname to try to scam people.

!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!

Ok send 20 btc to seccour and i will send you 1 Ti.

I am not sure if it is now possible to transfer without rollback. You have to check with seccour or in the slack chat and ask come-from-beyond or david.

Cheers

Seccour has agreed to act as Escrow.  After you have received payment please pm him promptly so I can get the IOTA released.

No problem acting as Escrow for your IOTA trade.

Terms = 1 TIOTA @ 20BTC

Escrow Guide

  • ***** please transfer 1 TIOTA to my Escrow address in my main Escrow thread:***** ( fake bitcointalk page )
  • Keeqan_Betariqs after confirmation please send 20BTC directly to *****.
  • ***** after you have received the BTC please notify me to release the IOTA to Keeqan_Betariqs.

I have two questions:

Do you have a GUI wallet yet? If I want to buy IOTA:s from someone how am I supposed to recieve them?

How are you going to hande all those zeros at an exchange? 1 Iota is not worth more than 1 satoshi but much less. Are you still not planning to have any other units than 1 IOTA without decimals?

Exchanges will trade in KIOTA or GIOTA no doubt. And the GUI wallet is great, and I believe there is an Android wallet beta floating around.

Because of so many btc invested with ethereum, I held off on the entire 10 btc I had ready for the ico... And thought it was too high at launch. Sad

My biggest error (possibly no. 2 or 3) was selling over 10 million NEM for around $0.00065.

Hold iota! It would have been good to get my 1.5 Tiota off cryptonightt too.
