there are persons that we can actually call " the whales" they are the people with a very huge amount of money that they can invest in bitcoin . if there are too many whales they can actually manipulate the price of bitcoin. we the small investors can help to manipulate it.
Affect the rate of bitcoin can be a group of companies that together have a large percentage of bitcoin holders. And if, they specifically agree to play for a decrease or a course, they can regulate it.
Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

I think exchanges have the power to do that simply by using a few trading bots.

If you have enough coins and enough money then you can manipulate the price of anything you want and wish to, which is why there have to be regulations in place and this is known as insider trading I believe.

Nope you can't. Bitcoins price is very volatile and unpredictable, it is too difficult to manipulate unless the higher ups would do so.

Bitcoin's market price is determined on the supply and demand concept. So if people's demand will get high, expect bitcoin's market price to rise and goes down if people's demand goes down too.

Nope. There's always someone with more money and more greed out there waiting to play you. And let's not get started on some of the exchanges themshelves.

I agree with that, that its too impossible for us to manipulate the price of the Bitcoin, it just that we hold and sell which makes Bitcoin pum and dump, on the other hand, they say the demand makes it more expensive probably in this way you can manipulate the price but not definitely using your own hands.

I know there are many big players who manipulate bitcoin price and make huge profits but can we the bitcointalk members also form a cartel and let bitcoin price never fall?is it possible that we manipulate price as I am sure most of bitcoin users visit this forum

I think it could be like that, this drop is very drastic and this is not fair, in this time bracket is very stolen, if indeed there is a mocking he must be very influential and I am sure this is not only from individuals alone but this is ulah a group who are looking for profit at a time like this, and we are currently victims of the games they make, and hopefully this does not last long because many parties will be harmed

If you plan on forming a cartel to keep the bitcoin price from falling, it seems difficult.
This is because the market will be more decisive.
Let alone the regulating market, our task of managing bitcoin well.

I think it's not possible to have a group in here that will manipulate the bitcoin price. It takes a higher trust level that those people will follow what the decision of the group. Although I partly agree that those big whales can do that manipulation as they have all the resources to that.

Only big players can manipulate and play with the price action of bitcoin. Small players or participants can only wish they could. I don't know how much you must have to be able to influence price movement. For a small owners like me, I'll just let the price take its course and do necessary actions whenever the price is good enough for buying or selling.

yes, you're right mate, Only big players can manipulate and play with the price action of bitcoin. the negative news is one of manipulations way. it effected demand of bitcoin mate.

As the big investors are doing it in stock exchange but still i am hopeful that it may not be possible in bitcoin forum. because the price of bitcoin is so reasonable that they even cannot think how to lower the price of bitcoin, the second thing is bitcoin is a universal currency and people from all over the world are studying bitcoin regularly so they are not letting bitcoin fell down to such a low price.

We don't have the capability to manipulate the bitcoin price. The price depends on the the market cap and the people investing in it. The authority to manipulate bitcoin price lies in hands of the big investors or token holderss and the team of the bitcoin. The price of the bitocoin depends on how many peolpe are holding and investing imn it. The more investors the more the price of the bitcoin increases.

Monopoly of any firm in the market decides the prices and quantity of their output. This is because they hold a huge share of the market and are actually he market price makers. Same is the case of the prices of Bitcoin which can be and are manipulated by those sharks in the ocean of the cryptocurrency.

I think that big group of people can try to do something but the result would be sad. We can change something on 2-3$ and it wouldn't be good honestly.
