What is this esports platform based on, does anyone know? I mean not just the game engine but who feeds the statistics. And, are the match outcomes already predetermined from the computer system,,, or does it play out like a normal game and we see the highlights only? I saw one game but it was sped up like only 2 minutes,,, is that correct?

I think we need to clarify the
distinction between Esports and Virtual sports.The game you saw for '90 seconds- was probably
Virtual sports. This would be computer-generated game, whether it be football, moto bikes, dogs or horses.. This does have a Random Number Generator I beleive and is full run by the computer, so similar to Slot machines really. Although, Man City odds on at 1.30 would 'likely win the match, its not totally random, but fairly well random enough.
Esports:These are real people, players + teams playing computer games against each other. Whether it be CsGo, DOTA, or even Nintendo Mario Kart
This is where the contest is, person vs person over a video game, similar to what we do with beers and our mates when we have a night in.
These Esports tournaments are massive and millions of people are part of this industry.
So this La Liga tournament held Sat night, and the F1 tournament Sunday night, and this current big one - QuaranTEAM are actual players and drivers of the respective real time sports PLAYING the computer games VS each other. It didn't happen, but you COULD have had Messi v Ronaldo on FIFA20
I think that's the best way to clear up the difference?
