Dang yeah it does look bullish now would be a damn good time to stock up on them while you can! Once the masternodes are released that will push the price to new heights. With that said the amount needed for a masternode is 150k SYS that is a lot of BTC Grin I'm also unfamiliar with what the exact payout ratio percentage is? Does the development team plan to take a percentage of the payouts to generate revenue for future development?

The amount is 100k not 150K and the dev team, unlike other projects, will not be taking a percentage

I'm ready to masternode  Cool Cool

Gonna be awesome !

Amazed that sys still has such a low marketcap in relation to other projects with much less developments and accomplishments.
This will change soon !!!

SYS could still go x10 easily

Thank you for correcting me on the amount it's been awhile since I checked into the details of it. So the dev team won't be taking a percentage of the profit? Man I'm kinda torn on that on the one hand yay that means higher payouts but on the other hand how does the team expect to make a living trying to expand and develop the project to take it mainstream? Normally I don't mind just donating to a devs cause with the extra payout but if any dev team actually deserved a cut of the payout it would be the SYS dev team.

They are actively seeking outside funding ATM and are very close to securing it

You should keep a safe copy of wallet.dat file
location on Windows: C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Syscoin\
location on mac: /Users/[USERNAME]/Library/Application Support/Syscoin/
beside that it is very important to store your private key in a safe place.

Are there any consideration for the masternode ammount to be lowered...? It is so expensive to run syscoin masternode today it is out of reach

Well In my opinion 100000 sys for a masternode is OK. At current BTC price is around 15000$ which is not bad. I don't think this is out of reach, if you want to see a masternode coin out of reach go to stratis (aprox 1 million $ / mn). Note: I don't promote stratis, was just an exemple.

Decreasing # coins per masternode or allowing staking with any amount would probably pump this coin significantly.
100k sys seems fine considering the price of the coin right now and the no of coins in circulation. Moreover, people have had time to study the coin/application and buy the dip if they wanted to.

I'm finally running blockmarket desktop for the first time. It asks me to generate an alias. I've got an old alias on an old wallet but never mind that. The confusing thing is that what are the PUBLIC VALUE and PRIVATE VALUE fields? No explanation at all. There should be some explanation for noobs. Otherwise they might simply give up thinking that using blockmarket is too complicated. I couldn't even find an explanation through SysCoin FAQ.

Hi,
Here is the Youtube tutorial for aliases: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-P37BFNfDUE&index=4
Here are all the screencast tutorials about Blockmarket Desktop: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClB4xFtsgsf0vOi_zEjTjbQ/videos

TL;DR
Public value: is whatever information you want to be known publicly about your alias. (example: Hi, I also make custom tailored socks, contact me!)
Private value: whatever information you want to store about your alias and would like to keep PRIVATE (example: my alias for retirement don't spend from it)

That makes much more sense. I was confused as well and thought value was referring to a monetary value.

Hi fellas,
I donwloaded the Windows Blockmarket 1.0.1 wallet, but Avast Antivirus recognized it as a threat and deleted the file.
It is a false positive and do you have the same problem with your antivirus programs?
Should I be worried? And should I re-download and ignore Avast?

No. Avast is  crap - uninstall it. Comodo is your friend.

Well, I think, is much too high price. I can not imagine the price of 100k. This is the realm of fantasy. Of course the news and all the developers and can decide the price of space to put even the moon is likely to be.
