I think it is worth it for the Ethereum mining. The efficiency of the RX480 is similar to R9 nano. But for other algorithms, nano is better.

I'm only considering the 480s for ETH mining. I'd pretty much double my hash rate for $200 at most. I'ma do it when the Sapphire Nitro+ 480 hits Newegg.

I'm ready to go back to the days of running 3x 7970 and 1x 290X. It's time.

The R9 nano price has reduced. It is for sale at around $400 at the moment. So If you sell at eBay, it is around $350.

no wait, i mean mining etheruem and dumping for bitcoin, if you want to hold, then those 0.7 could be more or less but right now if you convert eth to btc you get that

You can mine the Ethereum Classic, it is more profitable to mine at the moment. But it might not last long.

Yes there are MB that have 7 PCI-E and also you can buy 1 to 3 PCIE hub as well.  So if it can support more than 6 GPUs, I can push even more GPUs per MB/CPU/SSD combo.

The old MSI Z77A 55D or 65D supports 7 graphics cards with 7 PCIE slots. But they are quite expensive.
