is mining impossible on new chain ?
I think not, because it is not known how many 42 coins will turn out after the swap and what will the rules be pow, but the old 42 continue mining

when will the old chain be invalid?
It depends on the community, I will stop to support it in Jan-2017.

You can mine, but the PoW reward is 0 + tx fees.

Will cryptopia handle the swapping/burning process?
This process will start manually. The remaining on cryptopia coins after ~10-Jan will be swapped/burned automatically ( planned). Edit: and also when i write "invite 7 42" to the bot, it says "Groupbot: Group doesn't exist."
Check now! The group was previously disabled as an inactive.

I am going to order a blockexplorer for the new chain from https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=571254.0) since it the one of the most stable and cheaper: Hi,
I ask for a contribution to hosting costs of $100 in BTC per year, or $55 for 6 months. This includes all current and future features. Let me know if you are interested!
$55 will be deducted from the not swapped coins (if any remain). If you do not mind, I will proceed with the request.

When there will be more transactions. During the swap period there should be a lot of blocks with non-zero reward.

How can I add stable nodes?
Currently, there are only 3 stable nodes for the new chain: addnode=46.105.63.132:4242 addnode=93.76.1.154:4242 addnode=77.52.14.198:4242 But the 3rd one is on dynamic IP (changes every ~24 hours). I will keep the actual info about the nodes online in the second post. For the automatic distribution of information between the clients about the actual nodes we should setup/rent a DNS-seed node.

What is remarkable in the history of 42 and what is not many people know, is that we will the third time return to the limit of 42. The first time was in 3-Feb-2014, when lmangani fixed his mistake in the first commit. But on 17-Mar-2014 sherlockcoin (aka Soopy), again made the supply unlimited. He was working under KGW implementation and nobody noticed this "small change". He also was trying to resurrect 42, but gave up soon. The second try was on 19-Jul-2015, when funkshelper submitted a pull request " 42-coin-limit", but there were no updated wallets, so most people have not been able to support him. And now, the third try... I very hope that you will support the renewed 42 and we will have no more failures.
