Everything depends on us. The 42 emission is fully completed and nobody will be able to produce new coins and drop the price each day (like on other coins). This makes 42 attractive and safer for investors.
Price is an important factor, people are not interested in cheap coins with low capitalization, they usually come on pump and buy when the price is high... So, the higher the price we will keep, the more attention will be to the 42. Here are some calculations, to be
in 100 by marketcap (to much crappy coins there) we need the price not less than 10 btc per 1 coin;
in 50 (still a lot of garbage) - 37 btc;
in 20 (some scam coins there) - 220 btc;
in 10 - 700 btc, this is less than our record - 1900 btc.

I definetly agree with you, i think our first priority is to build a community that is quite large. With community comes more support. You can call me captain obvious. I think if vote decides to distribution via giveaways, some video or music site rewarding the uploaders with 42 could be something special

Yeah im going to vote when i get home, i just think that distributing the remaining coins as rewards would be alot better than handing them for free.

Then you do not have to vote for free distribution. After the swap, the holders will be able to make any proposal how to spend the available funds for the development and growth of the community.

old 42 has the unlimited supply,
it was an error in the code, and it will be thousands of coins instead of 42,
if some one wants to keep an old coin alive, anyway the whole idea (42 coins max) failed.
I don't like swaps, but in the case of 42 the swap is the only chance to save the coin,
go, born anew 42!

It is not a paid voting. You do not need to send more than 1 dent (0.00000001), only the sender's balance is taken into account when calculated.
Voting will take place only on key matters relating to the use of 42 community fund (4VsEs7wqRpoiTpmqViWRtse1P3CNgvBw4g). It's not my coins and I will not take a dent without the consent of the other holders. In addition, voting raises consciousness and activates the community.
If you do not agree, and believe that such decisions I should take personally, make a proposal and I will put it to a vote. And if the community will vote for it, there will be no more voting.

a new logo is not very bad, but IMHO people remember the old one and if you fix the old coin, the logo should be original to let the coin be recognizable as the old one, let people vote on it.

Version 0.7.5.0-gbff08fa-beta (old chain) with the old logo it is the original code. Version 0.0.7.build-g891b422 (new chain) is not a fixed the old coin, it is absolutely other code, you can check it on GitHub. The new logo was proposed by aelpop on 10-Jan-2014 at the time when a lot of people believed in 42 and connected with this coin their hopes. As to the full name, it is a reluctant measure to avoid situations like this:

it is clear, of course, a new chain,
what I'm trying to say:
the chain is new, the coin is old (you swap it, you convert old coins into new coins to fix an error with the total suppy, it is not a new ico nor a new mineable from scratch coin).
like if you are asked how many years old is 42-coin, what will you answer?
if you answer: it is since 2016, ok, but it's not a legend then,
if you answer: since 2014, well, it is a legend, but then why a new name and why saying it is new?
the chain is new, the coin is original... only that makes it look interesting,
