Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
bitcoin and krypto will rise together because both are interconnected, if krypto rises then bitcoin will also go up so krypto will not replace bitcoin

Bitcoin being the mother of all  cryptos will be very difficult to be overtaken .Eventhough more tokens are been developed yet the most tradable coin is still the BTC

Bitcoin will never be replaces by another cryptocurrency because that network will never compare to Bitcoin's network. It is so strong after all these years and will only continue to do so.
Yes you are right. I am also thinking that the technology of bitcoin and blockchain is much stronger and it will not be replaced by any other currency. Bitcoin has worked much harder and now it is a world's stronger currency. It is being used by even the world celebrities for their use and for their future profit. Many bigger companies are now adopting bitcoin for their businesses.

I think it could be if the technology is much more superior to the current Bitcoin, for sure.

The possibilities are thin if bitcoin can be replaced because bitcoin has a lot of support from different countries in the world.  Wink

I believe that there is something that we call the chosen Coin, who will come and replace bitcoin in the future.

Nothing is irreplaceable and nothing is indespensable as they say. Bitcoin today is dominating the world of cryptocurrency. But it is possible that another altcoun will also rise against bitcoin, surpassing its current value. With this people will migrate from using bitcoin to using that altcoin instead. I think this is what happened to Ethereum before. Somebody told me that ETH was once the alpha coin then it was replaced by BTC. So I think, some potential altcoin can also replace Btc.

To date, bitcoin has its shortcomings and vulnerabilities as a digital currency. Now bitcoin is rather slow, transactions with it are spent for hours and it prevents to use it in usual trading establishments at fulfillment of small and average purchases. In addition, most users acknowledge that commission fees for bitcoin transactions are quite high. If the bitcoin command does not eliminate these and other shortcomings in time, it is possible that other, more advanced digital coins may eventually take the place of bitcoin as the leader of the crypto currency. However, in the near future it is not yet seen.

Replacing bitcoin will be a very hard thing to do and I don't think there is a coin that can do it. Because bitcoin has the most amount of support and people using it than any other coin out there. Bitcoin has been the first of it's kind and has been the longest crypto there is for now.

I think that's hard, because bitcoin is now a digital currency that provides better security and service than other digital currencies. And the current bitcoin value is higher than the others.

Bitcoin will always be bitcoin, no coin can replaced it. Other new coins may comming but it will remain it that way. Bitcoin already established it's usage and capabilities and proved it's capacity to excel in the market. So i think replacing it is very impossible.

Yes it makes sense. Well, I can not say that it is impossible since all cryptos are only dependent on each of their market demand in terms of their value and popularity. It is possible that someday there'll be another crypto that will match with Bitcoin but definitely, it will take more years for that to happen since Bitcoin is growing in all aspects at this moment.

There is no way to replace bitcoin by another crypto currency if bitcoin makes it so popular in the market. People want new generation system what gives them more and more money. Bitcoin should not be replaced I think but it should when people know about a new crypto currency what gives some new wonder thing.

How I think not in this year and during some years, in this year bitcoin got unreal popularity, no one from others crypto currencies have same price and same popularity, in the future anything could happen but if that crypto currencies will be same stable like bitcoin during some years.
This will never happen because bitcoin has set the trend about the crypto currency and It is the most valuable and most used digital con of this time all other coins are lagging by very large margin so that it never can be filled and those who are thinking that it will happen lol for them because the king of crypto will remain king because people only know about bitcoin and no other coin will surpass this mighty coin.

Besides bitcoin is the first digital currency and like what you said it is like the king of cryptocurrencies.  Bitcoin has a strong foundation and it is the most trusted digital currency.  Every price of emerging and altcoins existed in the market were priced according to bitcoin.  No other cryptocurrency can surpass bitcoin because it has been tested and proven.  It was used by majority of people who are into cyptos.

Bitcoin won't be replaced by any other cryptocurrency because there is not even a single cryptocurrency which has even 1/3 adoption and acceptance like Bitcoin and this is biggest hurdle or obstacle for them to give competition to Bitcoin. There were lot of cryptocurrencies coming out claiming to replace Bitcoin but people don't even remember their names. Bitcoin has a more stable and brighter future.

Could be, but pretty unlikely because the price of bitcoin nowadays is astounding compared to the other altcoins, but the stability could be an issue. That is an interesting thing to look for.

If anyone knew the correct answer to this, they would have invested all their money in that wonder Altcoin. And other people would soon smell the rumor, buy into the coin pumping the price to the 'moon' while bitcoin would be treated as another altcoin of little worth.

But the beauty of life is that the future remains a mystery. If i knew yesterday what i know today, i'd be a millionaire. So for now, Bitcoin is king and the future is a mystery. It shall be interesting to watch that coin surpass bitcoin on my watch. Hopefully that alt is SONM  Grin
