Played my first few rounds of poker this weekend with some of the guys.  It was an excellent experience and is nice to have some gambling involved in my day to day crypto trading.

Free poker!....Laugh out Loud!  WTF is free poker?  Free poker takes about 90% of the game's strategy away...if the chips used to bluff, build equity, and advance in position have no value, then there is no reason to play!  Wow, free poker....here let me get out my wallet and buy some BRK so I can play imaginary poker!  LOL  

Are there any real online poker player's here who recognize Chris Ferguson's influence in this project?  Or, anybody having a little deja vu with the functionality of the poker client?  Anybody who's familiar with the various poker softwares provided by the different networks can tell, even with the facelift, where this software originated....right?

There's something amiss here....Why are the US players subject to regulation if we're using a blockchain....  I like the concept....sorta....and the poker client....but my spidey senses are tingling.

You really should take 3 minutes to get to know a project a little before making a lame attempt to FUD.

We don't only offer free poker.  We offer valuable PRIZES with no cost to enter. There are tournaments with real prizes, both in BRK, cards, and BTC with no cost to enter.  This is common knowledge with hundreds of tweets, FB posts, slack announcements, and probably an announcement a couple posts above yours.   There will be another site launched mirroring the free to play site but for BRK coins.  This will be considered real money and players will be able to buy in BRK using credit cards plus many popular payment processing methods.

You don't need deja vu or look behind a "facelift" or draw parallels with "various poker softwares [sic]". The poker software is supplied by Riversource IP AG and used by Betconstruct.  This is public knowledge. Quote from a Press Release:

Do you think the Blockchain is some magical cloak that shields you from regulation in the USA?  Poker is still illegal in most of the country and it doesn't matter if you're using real money called "crypto" using a magical blockchain.  This is not my opinion.  Opinion is as worthless as spidey-sense.  We hire and pay for legal advice from attorneys that specialize in compliance.  We are not here to operate for a few months within the grey area until the Feds decide to shut us down.  We're not out to offer services to the black market gaming customers. We will have many different verticals that we will offer on a legal-to-play basis depending on your jurisdiction.  No matter where you live, you'll probably be able to play something.  US customers already have the option of Breakoutpvp.com where you can wager on and play eSports matches.

 

Cool....eSports!  PokemonGo?  Well, all I'm saying is that there's a lot of money in the USA, and if you're interested in building a blockchain with a decent market cap, then you're probably not going to be doing that by excluding US markets....I don't care what your lawyers say.  The US has far better currencies available to them, yet you propose that we should use a less private, more regulated, 100% premined coin that's only use is to bet on eSports?  Well, I like the concept....I just don't see where the liquidity is going to come from.  I mean, I see how the developers will profit by selling the big pre-mine...but...is there anybody else with money that will buy this product when they have far better alternatives, such as bitcoin and the US dollar?  I do see how people looking for freebies would enjoy it at the moment....but where are the serious investors going to come from in the future?  Third world countries?

I really love the concept...and I wasn't trying to disseminate Fud...I'm just disappointed that US markets are excluded from utilizing it's full functionality....I think that's a HUGE downfall because there's money in the USA. This is a very innovated technology and it sucks that it may fall to the wayside because of regulatory practices....that's all.  Other than that....I think it's awesome!

No and no one can even answer my question how they handle the payments for the signature campaign, in fact thinking of pulling out since they just ignore that question! Starting to think they are no better then MMXVI coin that took off in the middle of campaign and paid no one.

I just want to suggest, if there will still be BRK tournaments including bittrex toruneys, if its possible to change the timings, so that more players aroung the world can also participate. Not only the players in the same time zone.
I make it clear that this is only a suggestion, It's still the call of the BRK management.

I think that one of the next steps would be to make Sis coin tradeable and promote it.  The block chain is moving much too slow, and we need more miners, but at this point, there just isn't much incentive to mine...

Getting someone out there to make a mining pool would probably help out alot. I'd be will to throw some hash at it, but at this stage it's way to complicated to wallet mine.

Not that complicated.  Stop by slack and we'll get you mining solo.  Pool owners are waiting on customised stratum source code to put up pool for Sistercoin.

is it possible? It was said Siscoin has no value but is useful for mining BRK.
I would appreciate it if of course SIS  would have value and coinbuyer work so much to give them away as well only to find out it has no value. If I was one of the users who got some, it would be disappointing.

yeah i think you have a very good point here, if there comes a problem to it, i think BRK management will see that and give a fair solution to that.

Release v1.4.2.0: Staking Fix

We have a new release (v1.4.2.0) that should fix all staking issues. Windows and mac downloads are available. Please update by Wednesday midnight PDT (about 34 hours).

The fork and hence improved staking will not go into effect until that time.
