I think that in the near future will take care of our employer. It's them decide what and how to pay their workers. And if we are going to have their waste is with great pleasure.
The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

What is the point of accepting bitcoin as a salary?
How will you buy food? How will you pay water? Electricity? Your daily needs?
If you exchange it to paper money you will pay tax.
It's much easier to get payed in paper money and use bitcoin as extra income for most people.

I would accept BTC too, but there should be a way to Switch back to the common currency, just in case! It might be great to split the salary (e.g. 50% USD, 50% BTC). I think this would keep me from spending all my Money on crap each month

Yes I would accept at least %20 of my salary to be paid as bitcoin. I regularly buy bitcoin with my savings anyways.

I wish there were high profile jobs that paid at least a part of the salary in BTC. That would have many advantages depending on the exact modalities.

I'd definitely accept it. Since btc are widely used nowadays and it is easier to transact with it than money.

I know people working in a country for the well-being of their family living in another country.  For those people who need to transfer an amount of their salary to their familiy, being paid with bitcoins or another cryptocurrency would be very good : no more huge fees, no more wait for transfer, no more physical wait in financial offices dedicated in money tranfer (post office, etc).
For me, living in France, I don't have this issue. I would accept a % of my salary paid in BTC but the principal still in fiat, until the bitcoin market would be firmly considered as stable as a fiat.

Of course. but I think the company will not do that because the fluctuating bitcoin price can not be used as a benchmark.

If somebody gets his salary from one employer, I think, it's not quite prune to accept Bitcoins... There is still some risk and speculation in using cryptocurrency, also, one will need to convert it into fiat for everyday use. What's the point?
Only acceptable for freelancers oro agencies, if they insist

So I guess most of us wants to accept bitcoin. Some without problem, others only when the rate is less volatile.

And that's the problem I guess: due to the fact that most (if not all) bills are in fiat, the exchange rate is very volatile, it is hard to accept bitcoin as single income. Fiat has still too much to say in our daily live.
