winnway this is a very good result, what processors have this computer? I am waiting for 4 days on the block, and I have not extracted any. Due to the large power of mining networks on the pool gives really bad effects I have an older i75960 on my main computer, and the others are at my house but nothing worth talking about. On the 5960 I've hit 4 blocks but none in the past 2 days (on any computer). On each of the other 2 I've hit 1 and 2 each. Took 4 days on one and 3 and 6 (I think) on the other. Hash rates on the crappy ones are showing 450-750. My average take home on the pool was a little over 1/day. So at 4.8 down to 4.4 reward average = 32.2 over only 6 days. vs ~7.4 (based on initial difficulty) on the pool. The number I gave is false as an average (as of today....over the period), so I didn't mean to mislead but it is misleading because of spiking difficulty. It was on that day and I was getting really ticked off because I was losing so much. Once the average evens out, I'll go back to the pool, but that's not for a while. I'm still ahead by about 24 coins. As I say I can't figure out the math on the pool.....it just didn't make sense to me.....maybe the pool creator can explain it. The high withdrawal rates also irritated me...I'm not sure why he would opt to do that but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Hope that clarifies. Difficulty remains extremely low for this coin compared to others, but climbing very fast. It will be double what I started at in no time. This is all still peanuts. If you like this coin, just buy it. Heck of a lot cheaper / faster. I mined for over a week from the wallet with no blocks found, and have never been the block finder on the pool... so If I was using the pool I would have found nothing. 3 to 5 coins per week isn't peanuts when the computer is on anyways and would have been costing money to have instead of making it. I hear you. Still no new blocks as of today. Looks like the party may be over for now. I think I'll leave it a couple more days and see if anything hits. But my finding rate hit the brakes. on the pool it seems like I'll be getting about 5 coins per week as long as the difficulty doesn't keep climbing allocating the 16g of virtual memory allowed me to put more cores on the pool so I'm stoked Glad that worked for ya! And yeah, 5 coins a week is not bad as all, especially if you have low electric bill or none at all. I'm doing this just to try something different from the other coins. Happy mining! -D

Hey guys,
today i tried to mine at poolinat0r but it didn't work. Most of the time i get stratum_recv_line failed or when i get stratum connection, i send like 30 shares, all get rejected and after that stratum_recv_line happens again. I'm on the big pool, just wanted to know is this a pool problem or on my end?
Thx guys!

I'm just using a good last gen 8 "core" AMD cpu, I'd be getting a lot more if it was a new generation or even one of the newer i7 cpu's, my comp is always on anyways, I can still do all my normal stuff on the computer when I set it to 4 threads, and when I leave or aren't doing much I put it to 6 threads PS I didn't seem to have any issues on vrm2 yesterday, network Hashrate is climbing at a good steady rate

Mining through the Verium Vault App, how long does it currently take to hit a block? I have been mining 5 days straight with an i7-4790 (1000-1200 H/m) and nothing… The estimated block hit within hrs keep on changing between 450-900. I tried pool mining, but nothing. I get that the hashrate is climbing, but currently it is meaningless to mine as I have it.

From what i've read, if you are only doing 1000 -1200 H/m, you are better off using a pool. thank you, -D

Anyone else have issues with the Verium miner crashing almost as soon as you hit mine, I get a CPU usage spike to max the assigned cores, then crash and burn... For my i7 3930k that i'm using as well as my AMD FX 8120, i had to set virtual ram to 16GB (min and max set to same) to be able to set max core - 1. So my i7 3930k i'm able to do 11 threads and fx 8120 7. It will run with all cores as well, but it struggles if you are trying to do other things. Both system have 8GB or more physical ram as well but i don't think this would be an issue. thank you, -D

I had to adjust it higher on 2 of my older PCs to get it going.

Was averaging a block every 5 days. Difficulty has admittedly increased in the interim, but I am quite sure I am now running well under the hash/reward rate even so.

How do I set max threads (cores)? I understand it is associated with the -t value, just not sure of the parameters of that value.

I understand bitcoin is falling and it afect to Verium price but really guys you think you can sell Verium idea like reserve of value with value drops of more than 20% in btc in only one day?, i understand is impossible to get a fixed price but the team should care a little about price, this kind of value drops kill the main sense of Verium concept, and scare potential investors, and look about bittrex buy order book 15 btc of buy orders, at moment VRM seems to be unnatended plus the concentred mining power in only 2 pools, it is not good for decentralization, come on i know the VRM team can do much better and show comunity the place this coin deserve to be.

Bitcoin has had a 20% or more drop in one day so I don't understand your comparison. Also Bitcoin is more mature(8+ years), Verium is only a year old. We have 3 major pools and multiple private pools and more coming including p2pool. Network hashrate is steadily increasing going form 1000kH/s to more then 13000kHs in a couple of months. Verium will take time to mature and grow, development continues.

Last block I hit on that machine was roughly 1 week ago. It's just luck.....I'm in a pool permanently now with all machines routing to it. Not sure what to tell you.

How do I set max threads (cores)? I understand it is associated with the -t value, just not sure of the parameters of that value. You can use the "-t X", simply change X with the number of threads you want to use. Let's say you have 8 threads in total, but only want to use 5. Start the miner and add "-t 5" without the " to your miner startup file. I have setup a new stratum for xu4s and have implemented some stratum changes i was working on in the early pool days. So far a few xu4s are mining there and the feedback was good only so far. If you have some xu4s and want to mine/test the new stratum (its connected to vrm2.poolinat0r.com) please PM me here or send me a message on the slack, i will give you the available ports then. There are 3 ports for xu4s: two have fixed difficulty and one has vardiff, i think in most cases vardiff should be the best to point your xu4s to, as the vardiff is supporting a little bit lower difficulaty than fixed xu4 port.

Once my miner experiences this, Stratum connection timeout Stratum connection interrupted stratum_recv_line failed My share rate drops dramatically, then I need to restart the miner. Now and then there will be downtime and must switch pools.
