Unable to get down on cowboys/giants game first half for 2 bitcoins says "popular bet in red" So then I tried just half a bitcoin and same error comes up..

 

Doesn't it show you the max you can bet? Did for me.

In order to ensure that we are managing the Book responsibly, we will sometimes limit our amount of downside when one side of a bet gets a lot of action. Unfortunately the bet in question is very popular, so you've hit this limit. We have some plans for tweaking our risk management, such that it will be less likely that you hit these limits (though they can still happen sometimes). In this case you can still get action down on the full game, just not the half bet.

I can understand that but you must understand that content is produced because people make money.  When I give you my picks and take the time to write it up/ create images /research teams and give that information to you for free, I do it because of the chance you will be thankful and use my affiliate link.  It cost you nothing more to use and it helps your fellow man.  Affiliate links are a great thing as long as when they are being used the person is providing valuable content.  Now just spamming the link saying CLICK HERE is a totally different story.  Do not hate affiliate links because without them you will never have free content at the quality you get.

Not sure why you felt the need to respond, as I was referring to the general referral link that I was responding to, which if everyone did, we'd find pages of referral links. If you want to put an affiliate link in your tag, or in a message in which you contribute something, by all means do it. Again though, your tagline is the more appropriate place for that.

We have updated the display on the "my bets" page to clearly show which bets are on halves or quarters. Thanks for the suggestion!

I had no problem getting 2 bitcoins down at Nitrogen on Cowboys and instant payout you guys slipping a tad just to be honest but I also understand the risk assessment needs to be in line. Maybe instead of letting someone bet 30 bitcoins on one side you will allow 15 guest bet 2 bitcoins etc.

Interestingly, we hit our limit on the Cowboys through many bets, most much less than the max. In fact, a similar thing is happening in tonight's Texans Chargers game -- everyone loves the Texans!

Again, I think people would prefer a book that isn't "gambling" by taking too many lopsided bets, so I'm glad to hear!
