I guess the laws are the same everywhere. But it is the implementation, which differ. In Western nations, the firms will get punished severely if they don't follow the regulations. But in countries such as China, there is hardly any monitoring, and even if you are caught you can avoid the consequences by paying bribes to the officials.

This situation exists in many countries. Money rules the world, and incomes and the environment are not compatible. We are all hostages of big business. Not only the environment but our lives depend on them so they dictate the terms.

So it was always and will be. People are forced to live as the government tells them. Man is no longer free. He lives in society and is forced to follow the rules.
Even if a group of people protests against pollution by large enterprises, this will not bring success.

,,,,,,Yes i usually think it should be save, not to rely on God or anyone, it is WE. There wouldn't be anyone to be saving it aside from us, and besides we would also be the ones to benefit it. We are also the reason about its current state and pollution in different aspects, and to think that God already give so much blessings we could found in our planet.

The earth is dying and this is not a conspiracy.Yes there are many companies that there are pollute and there are not care about our ecosystem but guess what?If we not buy their products they will stop the production.If we are not use cars we save the planet.If we recycle the rubbish we save the planet.I mean the main reason of global warming,greenhouse effect,dumps and many others problems are every one.We should be more active and not just blame the others, because this isn't the right way to save the planet.

I don't agree with you. With the advanced technologies nowaday, of course, scientists can easily find a new planet but it will take time. So I afraid that when we find for us a new planet, we have already died.

It is "easy" to find inhabitable planets, but how can we travel to these planets? Because most of them are located thousands of light years away. And I don't think that we will be able to travel faster than light, no matter how much the science progresses.

I think that each generation need to deal with his problems and right now global warming is not an real issue and don't affect most of the world population. I believe that when problems really arise, like decrease the farming output, real problems with ocean stuff and so on the market will find solutions who people will pay for it.

Wow that was great.  Now scientist are more concerned now on our environment.  Befores invention were like damaging our planet, now it is like to save and protect.  Thank God that new inventions were made to help our surroundings cool and cleen again.  But inventions will not be in full effect if we do not have concern and discipline.

To say that only individuals can save the planet is wrong, it will take cooperating governments, corporations, and individuals in order to save the planet one group cannot do it without the other. At one time garbage companies would dump their garbage near the shore, and than the government set a fine if they did it within a certain distance from shore but it was cheaper for the corporations to pay the fine and dump closer it wasn't until the government increased the fine of dumping close to shore was it followed.

Children(which in america are really just serpents of short length) are like the canaries in the coalmine.  When infants and toddlers start dropping dead, I'll move.  The negroe ones are particularly ugly. Destroying the planet is our only means of population control at this point, fortunately we're good at it.

Population control is the only viable solution to save this planet. Either we will have to do it voluntarily, or the nature will do it for us in the form of natural catastrophes, warfare.etc. As of now, the world population continues to increase. It is expected to reach somewhere between 12 billion and 14 billion by the end of this century.
