here to join in the bitcoin phase.plan to mine, buy n sell
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Hi all. been mining for a few days on a nVidia GPU. Excited to see if ASICs are more than vaporware and make a move in that direction. One week on my video card has yielded about 0.15 BTC LOL. Still, $2.50 of free money is better than nothing.

Hello everyone. I've been using bitcoin for a while, figured I may as well join one of the biggest communities for it.

Cool, I hoped that show will bring in some new Bitcoiners.

For all that haven't seen it: http://reason.com/reasontv/2013/01/07/katherine-mangu-ward-talks-bitcoins-on-s

All previous versions of currency will no longer be supported as of this update

My name is Mike and I am not a fan of Bitcoins.

I discovered them a few weeks ago, when I found that a website to which I needed to send money would only accept Bitcoins as payment.

I find that Bitcoins, PaySafeCards, and other forms of virtual currency just make life harder for me.  As a 26-year-old American and a holder of multiple credit cards, I have no use for virtual currency; however, the fact that it exists means that sometimes I will be forced to use it, as was the case a few weeks ago.

I now find myself in need of a UK PaySafeCard, for which I will probably need to pay a certain amount of BTC.  This means I have to exchange currency twice, just to buy something that I need (because I can't get it anywhere else).

I'm kinda new to bitcoin. I've tried it in the past, but now I'm a *little* more serious about giving it a try. My only hangup is my lack of a decent way to *make* bitcoins, unfortunately.

Need to do some posts to get a better status then newbie. So i introduce myself^^
I really like the bitcoin-idea in a kind of idealistic way. Sadly i have around 65 btc
"frozen" on bitmarket.eu because the admin gambeld at bitcoinica (don`t even know
what is bitcoinica....) and i really would like to get the btc`s back and try to acceed
to the bitmarket.eu Forum to offer my help.
