Creating a Bitcoin client that fully implements the network protocol is extremely difficult. Bitcoin-Qt is the only known safe implementation of a full node. Some other projects attempt to compete, but it is not recommended to use such software for anything serious. (Lightweight clients like Electrum and MultiBit are OK.)

Hey there. When I'm not batmanning I day trade bitcoins. I'm looking into mining pretty seriously. I also write .NET software. The reason I signed up on the forum was to get a better feel for the needs of other day taders in hopes of writing an application to help.

Hello sounds good mate

Like it Smiley Welcome to the forum.

Please disregard Litecoin and Zcash badges to the left. I have just gathered they are an April fool's joke!

Hello everyone,

Been lurking for a while, just decided recently to get more serious about my interest in BTC (made my first purchase last week!).

Also very interested in the legal aspects of BTC, I am going to law school in the Fall and would like to eventually work on cryptocurrency litigation etc.  I saw recently there was a group called CLAG (cryptocurrency legal advocacy group) but looks like the website has been taken down: http://theclag.org  Sad
