Hi Bitcoin community.

My name is Emil and I'm from Iceland. I'm really interested in Bitcoin economy, technology and the economic potential it has. Professionally I work on online poker related software, as a programmer in a startup company and am looking into integrating bitcoin into the software I'm building.

Can't wait till I can't get rid of the noob status, so I can participate in the more technical and economic forums and expand my network of experienced bitcoiners, to advise me with product design for the site.

Hello,

I'm from Belgium. I've been mining some coins with my gpu's (burned a 7970 in the process during past hot summerdays) since about 1.5 year now. I've been reading these forums for about 8 months awell. Also bought some shares from a company I read about here.(ASICMINER - seems it's going to turn out to be a nice investment)
I also started daytrading in btc to make a nice profit. I'm not a big trader yet btc wise but I'm becoming bigger as I go forward (in both euro & btc).
I believe bitcoin has a huge potential yet to be fully deployed & exploited. I've been advertising bitcoin with my friends & family. I've managed to get nearly all of them interested & invested in btc aswell since a few weeks.
In my country hardly anyone knows of bitcoin I think. Haven't met anyone yet that knew about it before I came by.
So there it is, not new to btc, just new to this forum.

Been mining for about 6 months now, started when BTC was worth $7 per BTC, right around the time Bitcoin mining ASICs were just a engineers wet dream. Amazing how fast this field has evolved.
