Hello my friends.

I am new here. I used bitcoins a year or so ago when Mt Gox allowed bank deposits through Chase.  Now they don't, is what I'm learning.
I'm here to learn Smiley

Been lurking for a while. During my spare time I'm developing a bitcoin futures exchange that will facilitate trading of S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, Russell 2000 and Dow Jones futures denominated in bitcoins. I'd grow tired of waiting for the other exchanges to add financial indices. Have developed algoritmic trading systems and HFT trading systems for the markets prior so it is a fun project to build an exchange from scratch. It's all written in pure high-performance C using a AJAX/REST/JSON architecture.

Hey. I'm new to this forum but not to bitcoins. I've been in the deep webz and .onion sites, but I have been unable to find Mariana's Web  Wink I have used BTC to purchase items and now I am thinking about setting up a business that accepts BTC. It wouldn't be anything unique, just a basic retail store for everyday items and it wouldn't just be limited to BTC. I would probably also accept Paypal and CCs since the business would be "on-the-books". Do you think people would be interested? I figure, it would make it easier for people with bitcoins to purchase basic necessities and supplies directly instead of having to go through the process of converting to cash to buy the stuff that they want. Or do you think that kinda defeats the purpose of BTC?

Hello, I just bought bitcoins with bitinstant, using coinapult. Unfortunately, coinapult is not working right now, so my funds have been sent, but are missing. So I am worried money will be lost

Been keen on bitcoin for a while, decided on Friday to research and see how the mining works..
Here's my results:

Using latest DiabloMiner (-w 64 -na) with deepbit pool:
mhash: 1.3/1.4
MacBookPro, 10.7.5, GeForce 9400M Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.26 GHz

I'm aware mining without the right hardware is a little redundant,  and likely even more redundant in the near future, but I like to figure out how things work..

Any comments on these results are welcome

From a newbie to another: Welcome Smiley

I tried also my Core 2 Duo once and something like 6-7MH/s...

You might want to have a look at this page:
