No offence OP. Stating that Bitcoin doesn't have any competition is pretty naive, there is an investment that is going up in value as time goes by. That investment is called Gold.
It may not seem like it's worth a bunch of money right now because of the volitility of the price though if you look beyond the USD price chart you will see that there wasn't a set price for Gold.

Gold is really a safe haven for some who know how to just count measurements and is more reliable than Bitcoin.

So, yes Bitcoin does have a competitor.
Gold will always be a competitor and not only to bitcoin but to fiat currencies as well since we must not forget that gold has been the currency of choice for thousands of years while fiat has been around in its current form just for a hundreds of years.
I think gold is not a competitor for bitcoin because they are so different to each other. Gold can be physical and virtual investment while bitcoin is just virtual and bitcoin is a currency/digital money while gold is just an investment or asset so for me we can't consider gold as a competitor but in my opinion, altcoins are more like bitcoin competitor rather than gold.
While it is true that bitcoin and gold have different characteristics both of them appeal to the same market, people that want to hedge against inflation or people that want to get out of the system of fiat controlled by the governments of the world.

That is absolutely true, bitcoin has become favorite investment because there is no inflation in bitcoin and it is free from the government control,  it is really suitable fot future investment because the price is keep on rising and there are so many big potential can be achieved with crypto currencies

Until recently i thought that there wont be any real competitors for bitcoin but in the last couple of weeks the rest of the alt coins has being on a good run and is breaking their ATH's and it makes me think about the possibility of other alts to challenge bitcoin at one point in the future.
What about DASH, a lot of his shils are screaming about the dash will take the bitcoin's place.
It seems like the altcoin gets a lot of the new demand in this time, and ethereum have the big chance to become a competitor for bitcoin.

DASH will probably never replace Bitcoin, but DASH could be a successful major altcoin that can be used along with Bitcoin. There is room for more than one cryptocurrency with Bitcoin being so expensive.

Bitcoin has no competition so far because it has been so hard to change things in the code and if you could find anything similar to bitcoin's code and with the same development then I think you have found it's competitor.

The competition of bitcoin is only the altcoins, however bitcoin is far ahead as we can see in it's price, it is also unique since the developer is unknown and only the source code is open to the public. It was supported by the people like us and it will continue to stay progressive despite of the challenges that it may face ahead, that is how a strong currency move.

You are a great one if there are no competitors to beat bitcoin. Because basically the bitcoin is a product and if any products are much sought after people are already certain that there will be popping up almost the same coin they are providing number of  innovations that might not have been owned by bitcoin. But despite the latest coin, the triumph of bitcoin will not be replaced if indeed bitcoin does not make a problem that makes its users go

If you pay attention to other crypto currencies, bitcoin is not the only one of its kind, but it is users who make valuable crypto currency due to the demand, and consequently popularity.

It's not about attention, it's all about which crypto currency will give you more profit in future because everyone invest their money to gain profit as a result. So bitcoin has great importance in the market that's why it's demands increases day by day.

If we are talking about profits, then altcoin has more wild fluctuation that can give you more profit than Bitcoin.  But I do not think people look only to that.  People wants more stable in terms of support crytocurrency that is why, bitcoin is said to be no competitors at all.  But when it comes to technology, there are far more advance altcoins than Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is first digital currency invented by Satoshi Nakamota with world's best technology callled Blockchain technology. Since been many crypto currencies been invented but bitcoin always ahead in price and potential of usage. I hope it become a centralized money and we will get more pioneer to lead bitcoin real world to make understand till laymen understands it.

Competition is what happens when you behave as if you have none. There's always competition, just because you don't (want to) see it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Actually it is the other way around. It is competing with fiat. Then banks compete with wallet websites.
Problem is lack of supporters for bitcoin and maybe more development. As more projects are being done someday we will see what will be really useful or can be more convenient for the people. For now, technology must be upgraded in different parts of the world. Once it is done it wont be difficult to use bitcoin.

Imo ETH is a candidate to compete with bitcoin, if I'm not mistaken $2B was transferred from bitcoin into ETH in past 2 days, well that is not good if we want ETH to even surpass bitcoin we need fresh money from outside not the already invested money on btc to be put in ETH we need fiat flow into crypto.

I don't think so, bitcoin has competition and bitcoin needs competition,
the competition of bitcoin are altcoins as instrument of investments
it will makes bitcoin be alive and there are choice for making investments into digital coins,
it is like gold the competition is silver or other.

I'm not sure if other digital currencies will deliver meaningful competition to bitcoin. It could happen, but the network effect and momentum that bitcoin already has would be hard to overcome.

Yes, there is no Altcoins out there that could compete with bitcoin because of its valuability, advantages, and flexibility, but there is still competition, because if there is no Altcoins out there, bitcoin would not be in the top soaring high, and still the superior amongst all Altcoins out there, and it could not be easily defeated by any Altcoins out there because of its solidity.

We have known bitcoin for a very long time compare to this Altcoins that is just popping up nowhere hoping that they could replace bitcoin, but sadly, they didn't success. Bitcoin still remains on its feet, and I know that it will take a very long time before an Altcoin could replace it.
