so I just opened a kraken account and went through level 1 verification... took about 1 hour, but I'm now able to buy ICN for bitcoin. it's okay I guess for the time being
That was fast ...some people waiting weeks to get verified level one yeah but honestly, trading is a pain in the ass. it's super complicated and unlike any other user friendly exchange I used so far...

On Kraken there is only 35.000 in volume left below the ICO price. Everything else is higher in price
I suggest we all should wait till bitcoin price stop raising.Investors are investing their money in bitcoin as they expect more price rise and therefore don't want to put their money anywhere else.ICN is a long term investment.Next year March will be ICN's month and it will be in huge demand with price $10-$15 Why March? I guess March is the estimated time for OFM to go live

The story so far. This ain't no dump. Last sale was at 0.00017 BTC/ICN. At 705 USD/BTC, that puts ICN as almost exactly 0.12 USD/ICN. Given that BTC has risen from 650 to 705 USD/BTC since ICN has been unlocked, and with the Zcash craziness, there's only once conclusion to be drawn... In the first 72 hours of trading, investors are HODLING ICN in the ballpark of the ICO price, despite big price swings all around them.(Remember - ICN is an unmined zero inflation token sitting on a pile of 16K BTC equivalent gathered during ICO! The PRICE of ICN may go down a little as the PRICE of BTC rises - but the VALUE of ICN stays constant because of the PILE!) THIS is what a crash looks like for all other inflationary, minable altcoins in just the past 24 hours....be thankful you are in ICONOMI.Good post Mr Reynolds, an asset to the community for sure. I am a long term holder, and if and when I ever cash-out, it will be via my free debit-card. Good post and some sanity after watching zcash trades.

I don't think other altcoins crashing that hard is neccesarily due to the inflationary nature of the coins. It is more because of self fulfilling prophecies where people are overselling because they think the coins can't rise in value together with bitcoin.
The prices will correct, expect a lot of green in the next days. Good time to buy most alts now, unless bitcoin shoots higher even more.

We're lucky that we didn't get on Polo or Bittrex, we'd most likely be part of the bloodbath if we were.

I hold a majority of my tokens on the iconomi site (since I never transferred them out). Since ICN has gone live, i have purchased more tokens on kraken. I kind of wish Iconomi's interface let you deposit ICN back to their site. Would be awesome if they allowed that.......HINT, HINT, HINT.

same request here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ICONOMI/comments/59vklj/receive_address_deposits_at_iconomi_platform/I wish it could be done sooner than later. Edit: Just got a respond from Jani on reddit: "Most likely with the launch of ICONOMI.index and ICONOMI.performance funds or right after. ICONOMI.index and ICONOMI.performance is our no.1 priority right now and we're on a really really short deadlines at the moment - we need to, and we will launch before year ends."

why would any one hold funds in an address that they don't hold the private keys for?? for me it works like that: Holding your own priv keys comes with certain amount of knowledge, responsibility, and RISK - that is the main trade off with trusting someone else (Iconomi). If I wouldn't trust them, I wouldn't invest. I personally don't like the risk of loosing/maintaining keystore backups and strong unique passwords that if forgotten lock you out for good. I don't like the idea that ether wallet doesn't have 2FA. And I don't like thinking about all that when I am long on Iconomi. I'd prefer to have a "vault" option and that is exactly what Iconomi provides - an offline, vault-like storage service. If funds will be stolen/hacked from Iconomi, your tokens will be worthless anyway, whether you have control over the priv key or not.
