Question: Why would people buy crypto funds from shady Middlemen in Slovenia (Iconomi), while they can skip these middle men and buy identical crypto funds on a decentralized platform like MelonPort or TaaS where everything from trades to performance is transparent, and especially since these other platforms can also hold funds safely in Cold Storage which eliminates DAO-like hacks?

Why would it be shady? Are you even capable of pointing where is that without googleMaps? If you try to spreed FUD, sell your stash and buy some shitcoins. Or open your own platform if you know it better  

"Shady Middlemen" because:
. No expense report for the past 6 months since the end of ICO.
. They solicited funds from US citizens, now they say US citizens are not allowed to use Iconomi
. They failed to release Legal Part 2
. Their legal guy just disappeared.
. They failed to do bi-weekly AMAs, after promising they will do so.
. They avoid all serious questions on Slack.
. They postponed the launch on same day after competitors released videos of their working prototype: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJP7HPF8rOc
. They're delaying ICNX & ICNP funds on purpose to time the release with the end of 6-month lockup period to access their ICN Dev share.


Now you tell me how investors are supposed to trust them with millions of dollars if ICN holders are ever going to see any dividends.

Show proof that US. Citizens are not allowed or it didn't happen.

I haven't heard Iconomi team saying anything about enforcing KYC/ AML on the platfrom

Iconomi doesn't list on Bittrex and Poloniex is the best proof, Kraken lists it maybe because Kraken has full licenses over Bittrex and Poloniex.

My main issue with ICONOMI team is that they didn't tell us the whole truth about the exchanges, hiding under NDA agreement is half truth to me, but I still believe they have what it takes to deliver the right platform

it doesn't matter now that the price has been constantly moving up. those who feel they are scammed can actually sell their ICN to take profit but didn't. kraken is the best exchange i've been so far that i forgot the coins i have in polo.

I think their still pretty far away from releasing the final product:

By August 2017, Melonport expects to implement version 1.0 of its protocol and complete the first audit of its code.

Additional audits are planned to occur through to 2018, with version 1.0 of its governance model implemented in February 2019, along with the final deployment

They both have the same idea, ICN is closer to finished product. Going to be interesting to see if Melon Port can collect as much as ICN did, not sure it will but crypto crazy shit always happens lol.

No, you idiots. They explained it clearly before the ICO. At this time US citizen cannot participate in the performance fund, index fund, or any of the individual funds that will be on the platform. Those are not the same thing as the ICN token. People from the US can own ICN- just like they can own other ETH tokens and participate in other ICOs- and that is the only thing they solicited funds from US citizens for so there is not a problem.

ICONOMI shone because he thought very well about the rewards campaign, the project was well thought out! Without this they will hardly outgrow ICN, I'll never invest in ICO again!

Maybe there is a future for this coin after all. The whole Project is kind of weird to me, why won't the developers just post what they have instead of just hiding in the background giving their henchmen updates? Cool project though nonetheless...

The price could go back down but I am not worried at all because ICONOMI (ICN) was pretty stable and solid so far. Is there anyone attending The Blockchain Event conference in a couple of days?

I don't understand what is the purpose of ICN token and why it was necessary to run a Fund Management Platform. Isn't enough to use Bitcoin and pay dividens to the participants of the project? I may be wrong but in my opinion the real goal of Iconomi project is to get as more Bitcoins as possible and leave investors with useless tokens.

Yes, I did and checked it again. Still, I don't understand why you need to create a new token to run a fund management platform if you have Bitcoin, Ethereum and other coins you can build your platform onto.

They're shares. It is as simple as that. When you own a certain percentage of tokens, you own an equivalent percentage of the Iconomi company.

From the whitepaper:

ICONOMI will issue 100 milion ICONOMI tokens (ICN) 10 days after the crowdfunding campaign successfully ends. 100 % of the ICONOMI tokens represent 100 % ownership of the ICONOMI platform, comprising of all assets and liabilities, as well as each and every right and obligation, including but not limited to intellectual property rights, branding and trademarks.

Yes, now it is more clear. So, ICN represents traditional old school economy shares but the difference is that their platform is on blockchain? Similar approach is by Lykke. If you buy Lykke tokens you also get company shares.
