Hello I would like to make some posts in the main forum please.

I have done a lot of reading and a lot of work since my first newbie question.

I have managed to flash my BFL 5gh a few times and have a few questions related to the API query below

=========
[ID] => BAJ0
[GetInfo] => DEVICE: BitFORCE SC0x0aFIRMWARE: 1.2.90x0aIAR
Executed: NO0x0a
CHIP PARALLELIZATION: YES @ 20x0a
QUEUE DEPTH:400x0a
PROCESSOR 3: 10 engines @ 264 MHz -- MAP: FF060x0a
PROCESSOR 7: 7 engines @ 295 MHz -- MAP: B40E0x0a
THEORETICAL MAX: 4705 MH/s0x0a
ENGINES: 170x0a
FREQUENCY: 291 MHz0x0a
CRITICAL TEMPERATURE: 00x0a
TOTAL THERMAL CYCLES: 00x0aX
LINK MODE: MASTER0x0aX
LINK PRESENT: NO0x0aOK0x0a0x00
===============

It seems to me the engine count is low?

I would like to post in the [HOWTO] flash your jalapeno to 8+ ghs thread.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=244235.0

My Jala is only running just over 5gh, at best, even with some of these trick firmwares.

I've been lurking for some time but i registered because i wanted to reply in the kraken thread.

I started trading on kraken 2 weeks ago and am in the 60k USD volume range now, and i wanted to make a feature request. I don't think it belongs in the newbie forum and also no one from kraken is going to read it there i think..
Could you please remove my newbie status?

Hi, I am new to the whole bit coin thing. I hope to use this board to be able to learn more about it. To do so I will need to be able to reply to messages of course. I am hoping this post will be considered substantial enough to take me off "newbie forum status". Thanks.

It's funny how a decentralized coin has such a strictly moderated forum, where members have to wait to get participation approval.
Spamming is always a problem, but there're ways to get around it, like StackOverflow did with their voting system.

Instead of this restrictive policy, I think it'll be better for this forum to adapt a "decentralized" moderation system, where meaningless content gets low visibility, according to its rating by the community.

I hope you can move this to the correct thread>

Start with the end in mind- this is my goal-
"Stratum Servers: nl1.ghash.io:3334. us1.ghash.io:3333. Please use -o stratum+tcp://nl1.ghash.io:3334 in your command line. You should name
your workers xxxxxxxx.<WORKER_ID> (e.g. xxxxxxxx.worker1). Workers are added automatically, you can use any/empty password. The minimum stratum
difficulty is 16. Support: webmaster@ghash.io"

To this end I have acquired a new style 10Ghs blade and properly outfitted it in a case donated from a socket7 pc.  I have BCGminer and mining_proxy.exe
running (but with errors.)  I tried CGminer but BCGminer seemed simpler toconfigure out of the box for these blades.  Any opinions on which may better
suit this situation?  I guess I need to make .bat files for command line args.OK I am just figuring this out.  Don't laugh.  This might actually have been
easier in Linux even though I suck in Linux too.  I am using Windows XPsp3.

I am having conflicts between my Blade and my Cisco DDR2200 dual bonded dsl router since they share the same default IP of 192.168.1.254.  Furthermore when the blade is
on I can't surf the net.  I found the reset pads already - very handy.  Whenever I set the Blade IP to another address it is gone.  MY Cisco IP address is
192.168.1.254 with a sunetmask of 255.255.255.0. UPnP is enabled. DHCP server is enabled with a start IP 192.168.64, end IP of 192.168.1.253, subnet mask
255.255.255.0 , and a leased time of 24 hours.  (should I change that to 24000?)The router has Address Reservation (Static DHCP Assignment) which allows me to
reserve a specific IP address to a specified MAC address, such as 192.168.1.XXX to MAC YYY:YYY:YYY:YYY:YYY:YYY.  Will this help me?  If so what values for X and Y?

The Cisco DDR2200 also has
Incoming IP Filtering Setup
"If enable Incoming Filtering Function,all incoming IP traffic from WAN side to LAN side is BLOCKED. However, some IP traffic can be ACCEPTED by setting up filters.
Enable Filtering Function
Choose Add or Remove to configure incoming IP filters.
Filter Name    VPI/VCI    Protocol    Source Address / Mask    Source Port    Dest. Address / Mask    Dest. Port    Remove"

And it has MAC Filtering and System Management Sessions IP Access Control enable/disable IP In/Out

And Outgoing IP Filtering Setup
By default, all outgoing IP traffic from LAN side to WAN side is ALLOWED, but some specified IP traffics can be BLOCKED by setting up filters. Choose Add or Remove
to configure outgoing IP filters.
Enable Filtering Function
Filter Name    Protocol    Source Address / Mask    Source Port    Dest. Address / Mask    Dest. Port    Remove

I don't have much of clue if any of this is important but I do know resolving the IP has to be first, but I don't have much clue about the rest of
the Blades configuration either.  Mask - Can it stay 255.255.255.0 which is the same subnetmask as the Cisco DDR2200?  255.255.248, 255.0.0.0, and 0.0.0.0 are also taken.
Gateway - I read this is the same as the router 71.55.xxx.xxx but it does not really matter since I am using mining_proxy.  WEB port?
I don't even have a clue.  Should I set the Primary and Secondary DNS server the same as the router?  Or am I missing something about the process?  Ports? I'm clueless.
Server addresses: should they be nl1.ghash.io:3334., us1.ghash.io:3333?  Lastly the user:passis xxxxxxxx._WORKER_ID:pswrd,xxxxxxxx._WORKER_ID:pswrd which I think I understand.

mining_proxy.exe Questions:
trying to pass command in .bat file -o stratum+tcp://nl1.ghash.io:3334
produces this error
C:\Program Files\StratumProxy\mining_proxy.exe\twisted\web\util.py:327: Deprecaiton Warning: Passing filenames or file objects to XMLFile
is deprecated since Twisted 12.1. Pass a filepath instead.it goes on to try to connect to ....nl1.ghash.io:3334:3333
What is the solution? Why is it adding :3333?Can I make a .bat file like this for bcgminer so I can skip typing in the pool and the user.worker and password? I guess I should read the forum more.  I had CGminer reading blocks and I can't get BCGminer to read them.  What is Icarus?  I need that don't I?  I guess I just need a little direction and guidance.  Figuring out .bat files is a little new to me and all this precise syntax should probably have come in the box with the Blade. LOL.  I am trying hard.  Forum please throw me I lifeline.

I would really appreciate a whitelist...I'm a long time lurker that now is interested in buying into BTCMiner's mining deal, and have the need to message him. I tried making a post in the newbie section first but got a "The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago. Please try again later." error. Maybe posting here will work. TY.

Hi!
I would like to get whitelisted, I know a lot of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I started mining bitcoin but soon found out that it is not worth it. Then switch to litecoin, but I think i will left it also. So i'm looking for another currency to mine with scrypt algorithm. I think i will go for anoncoin. Anyway...i have account on btc-e and bitstamp. I bought bitcoins on bitstamp and then some transfer to btc-e. Now I deposit eur with sepa transfer to btc-e and dont get funds on my account. I opened a ticket but there is no response. On another thread on this forum there are other people with similar problems - some was marked as solved, so I hope for my case to be solved also. I can contribute some knowledge to this forum (answer to newbies) so I'm asking to be on whitelist. Regards, Vezalke

Hello,

I am a new user here and am very interested in Bitcoins future.  I have been mining for close to 6 months and am interested in learning all I can about furture hardware capabilities.  I joined this forum because of some of the group buys that take place and I am very interested in getting in on some future orders.  I would like to request to be whitelisted in order to do so.

Thanks and I look forward to contributing to this forum.
