If you have a need to be allowed into the forum beyond before you have completed the required 5 posts and 4 hours logged in, please post your request here. You must provide evidence that shows that you either understand more about Bitcoin than the average newbie, or that what you want to post can only be done in another forum. Reasons such as "I'm not a spammer" will be ignored. Try to be as specific as possible.
If you learned of Bitcoin through a currently established member of this forum who feels that you are ready to be released to the rest of the forum or who is willing to mentor you, or if you want to make a new account that is separate from your already-existing established forum account, have the existing user/account vouch for you after you have made your request.
If you are asking to be whitelisted because you are having a problem with something, we generally look more favorably on people who have already attempted to solve their issue in the Newbie board. Even if you end up not qualifying for preemptive whitelisting, your post might still qualify for being moved to another board if you have received insufficient help after a few hours.
Also: - You must have made one post in order to send PMs. - You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature.
Please note: If you see "Jr. Member" by your name, you have already met the 5 posts and 4 hour requirements and don't need to post here. Additionally, after you meet the requirements, it can take up to 10 minutes for your account to be automatically upgraded.
I created this account to participate in Canary's group buy #6. Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=231673.20I can provide the address where the funds are waiting to be sent. Please whitelist. Thank you.

Maybe the "total time logged in" does not reflect the 20 hours I've spent reading different threads, so I give it a go anyway... Whitelist please. I am interested in getting involved in some of the custom hardware thread, but I have some question. It's also a requirement to be able to post/PM to participate in some of the activities (batch buys , PCB, logistic). So , please... whitelist. I'm not here to waste anybody's time, and would like to participate in the community. Thanks

Thanks Just to prove I'm not a bot / spammer or else, and did my homework: I'm leaning towards a spread risk across several batch buy for both ASIC and PCB/assembly, preferring Klondike 16. Might look at vendors (Butterfly labs or KnCMiner once it looks less like vaporware). Examples of Groups/Projects of interest are https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=203682.0 and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=192916.0I just need to get whitelisted to move on. Please.

Just want to ask a specific question on a very specific securities thread before I invest. Please whitelist me.
Also, someone really needs to make this requirement MUCH more obvious. I'm sure it was written on some message when I signed up several months ago, but I never saw it. I just spent way too long looking for the damn "reply" button that was missing. The help section was useless. Didn't see any newbie section because it is buried in the "other" section which itself is buried under all of the other sub forums on the list. At least give message in the message section or a greyed out "reply" button that tells you what the problem is or something.
Sorry for the mini rant. Thanks

good day Maged, JohnK, BadBear, Theymos - et cetera.
this is an alt account I have created for additional anonymity. I already have a well established "Hero Member" account and hang out in the Custom Hardware and Mining forums. Presently own a mining farm capable of near 50GHs comprised of a mix of ASICs and GPUs, and have a bunch of K16 boards on order purchased through steamboats thread.

I'm not sure if this qualifies me, but before I knew there was a minimum requirement for posting in the main forums, I'd been following the Mt. Gox wall tracker thread in the speculation forum since about page 250. I'm certain I've spent more than 4 hours on it, haha.
Had I realized the requirement, I would have created an account a long time ago.
That said, I'm a casual bitcoin user, mainly buying and holding. I've been somewhat successful at light day trading but don't consider myself good enough to throw large amounts of money at it just yet.
In the meantime, just doing what I can to turn people on to it.
Thanks.

Hello, I am a partner in up-and-coming investment company that is interested in crypto-currency especially bitcoin. We have done research and acquired all the knowledge we need to get past the setting up of our mining rigs and such, so I am very comfortable with the topics discussed on bitcointalk.org. I am very interested in the recent coins that have been realized and unable to socialize with individuals on a common level because the newbie restriction. I honestly don't mind having to come up with the time to think of something to post but it's not really efficient and as I said I'm here for business. Nice to meet everyone though, thanks for the consideration. -Times

I'd like out of here. There are a few active threads in the mining forum in which I feel I could post relevant and helpful information. I also have a few burning questions regarding improving my mining operation and I'd like to be able to post them in the appropriate forums. I started a thread about my mining rigs in this forum here. May I humbly suggest that it is evidence of basic competency and that I'm likely not a spammer / scammer?
