Bitcoin is difficult to explain. I also felt difficulties in understanding bitcoin for the firs time. Let's share how to explain bitcoin to children of teenagers. In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.
In the first first its too difficult to explain on children ofcourse because they are the first time hearing what is bitcoin , first you need to know them what is bitcoin what bitcoin can do with their life because if you teach a teenager to earn money they are going to learn gambling too

children doesn't need to know about currency, but teenagers does, and i think there's so many explanation video in youtube so don't wasting effort wasting your time when you can just give them about the link of video so they can learn from it,whether they will be interested or not,it's definitely depend on them

that's very good idea. but I think it should be the first step to introduce bitcoin to teenagers.

the second step is to give them an example how to send bitcoin, create wallet, etc because some people still need examples.

and the last step is to give proof of your income from bitcoin.

Depends on the age they are in. For children probably under 12, it's not advisable to teach them anything about cryptocurrency since it would be too much for them to understand the mechanics and the system of how it works. Besides, they might not even be interested in them.

If they are 12 and above, it would only be good to tell them about cryptos and banks when they ask for it and don't tell them too much. Only answer what they ask. Let them be fed with information on their own accord.

I can't explain it to other adults,  infact after over a year I still don't fully understand it.

If they are teenagers and they have heard about it then they would research it on the onternet anyway... For children it's not important.

I don't think so.
In fact, I really think that teenagers or children can understand Bitcoin much better than older generation.
They are born in digital age, with Internet and they are very open for the new technologies, ideas and projects.
Also, they learn much faster than elderly people and I really don't think they will need much explanation about Bitcoin.
As soon as they see benefits of Bitcoin, they will adapt it.
I don't worry about this point at all.

I absolutely agree with you. It's much more difficult to explain Bitcoin to older generation

that is true but children is usually called to younger people, usually younger than teenagers. so i don't think it is possible or even a good idea to explain bitcoin to them at such an early stages of their lives.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

I'm not too sure teenagers or children would be that interested in how bitcoin works exactly. If anything, they'd be more interested in just using it and what cool things they could use it for.

Kinda like mobile phones. They don't care exactly how a cell phone works, only that it allows them to communicate, socialize and express themselves in various ways with their friends and peers.

Teenagers (most of them anyways) don't care how the internet or computers works exactly. They just care about using the internet and computers along with all the apps and games.

Just show teenagers and kids how to use bitcoin safely and the rest will take care of itself.

I think to educate children and teenager about bitcoin there is no any better idea than including a chapter about bitcoin in their science book.  Wink
But i don't think government will allow this as they think that bitcoin is only used for illegal activity which is completely false, however this is what they still think about bitcoin in most of the coutries.

Yu have a nice question, bitcoin really take some time for someone to understand it, and we from now have to do any thing so that they already will have a good knowledge about bitcoin when they come to the stage when they will involve in the financial world and world business, The better idea is that we should have to introduce the subject of bitcoin in their computer classes and in the class of economics(world economics) etc.

Kids understand money they can see... so just tell them that most money are floating around on digital ledgers {accounts} in Banks. Tell them,

someone figured out that you can put money on the internet and they bypassed Banks. They also found a way for people not to fake it, like they are

doing with fiat notes and coins. Keep it simple and they will understand... Once you start talking about Blockchains and Math, they tend to zone

out.  Roll Eyes

most parents don't know what money is so they wouldn't have a hope in hell of explaining it. if I had a teenager sat in front of me now i'd tell them it was an internet currency, show them a few places where it could be spent and tell them not to blow it all on drugs.

What do you mean "not all on drugs"? so some on drugs would be good? Cheesy

Anyway, I would not bother going into details. Adults don't get it, let alone kids. We will have to wait for things to naturally reach mainstream status. You couldn't explain the internet back in the 90's to the average joe.

it's easy to teach teens about bitcoin i think it's easy than explained to oldest people since teens are familiar and interested with something new, just teach them how it works, how to use it, they will understand bitcoin properly as an payment processor but about mining, and programs behind bitcoin the blockchain i think it is too difficult except for those who are geek.

We need not think that far because young children certainly do not understand bitcoin. And if we tell bitcoin sure they are also difficult to understand. If we tell adults about bitcoin would be easy to understand because they would be interested because they would think of the benefits.
I think that's the point. Children are not interested in bitcoin because they don't know the benefit whereas adults know the benefit.

Bitcoin is online money. This is what enough to know for children. Anyway, they won't understand technical details about bitcoin and I don't they very interested in it. Teenagers can find information by themselves if they really care about it. They will catch information fast and easier than mid-age people I think.

The parents should tell them about that currency from the start and have to tell them that it is another currency like all other but we call it online currency or digital currency as it is the currency of internet and we use it for internet use, that will be good. for them.

if you feel difficulties to explain bitcoin to them, then you don't have to explain about the details, but you can explain in simple ways, like for example you can example with bitcoin, we can make a simple transaction, don't have to carrying money in our pocket, we just show our QR in our phone cellular, how to get bitcoin, we can shop in internet and buy product. maybe something like that.

but for children, i don't thing that they can understand with this, so stick to them and play with then and when they are 17 years old then you can explain with the details.

It is the responsibility of their computer colleges and their computer teachers in their schools that they tell them about that currency, as it is now a bigger part of internet and online businesses etc.

They don't know how the bitcoin works and it's will become a more hard work for you to teach them.

In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.
That's right because their education is better than just know about the bitcoin, all of the things is always have a moment for doing that.

Explaining Bitcoin to children or teenagers shouldn't be complex and most of the information should be fairly simple for them to understand and listen to. Explain it simply by just simplifying mining to using specific computer calculations and so to find a "block" which you can say is just new Bitcoins (after explaining the 21m limit) and everything else should just be simplified so that they don't have to listen for very long. Offer to explain more of it later, but don't force them to listen to it for very long.
