It should be easier to explain bitcoin to a teenager than to an adult as the young generation are more open to innovations and new things, technologies.
You can explain it by comparing to your country main fiat currency. And say the advantages and disadvantages of both. By making similarities to a new concept will make children or teenagers understand it better and later on you can present the details like how is bitcoin generated, where it can be used, what are the transaction fees,etc..
why should we teach to children about bitcoin, it is their study time and they should give full attention to their study, and when they complete their study only then they should give time to learn bitcoin.

Okay maybe in your opinion bitcoin is not good to learn by children because they better study for their school, but if i may say my opinion if you don't agree teach children may be teach teenagers about bitcoin is not bad, with conditions don't any compulsion. Teenagers like a new things moreover if they can earn a money from learning bitcoin, may be they will be like bitcoin as well.

hello sir, my nephew is a teenager and he knows more about bitcoin than me, i think because he is a tech savvy and he is a trader too, he knew about bitcoin with his fellow teenager, and for the children maybe its a different story, the world has become more digital so as the currency sir, so maybe in the future bitcoin will be usual to the new generation and they'll be more knowledgeable than the older generations when it comes  to digital currencies like bitcoin and other digital stuff Smiley

I guess explains bitcoin in children is very difficult. I have a nephew who is very naughty, I always show them how to look for bitcoin, but they did not want to learn it, perhaps because it is a complicated thing. I do not want to impose it, and make them become stressed. so, I decided to teach them when they were aged 10 years +

Kids are naughty, that's normal, and I think teaching them is really not advisable, they are always after the fun, that is why teachers won't teach them too much about letters and numbers, and if they do, they will do it with the kids doing the actions and plays. But for teenagers, well, guess what? they are more tech savvy than us. It's easier to tell them about bitcoin, I could say that they are the easiest one to teach.
Teens may be able to use facebook and other apps better than any adult, but they don't really understand how a computer works, or how to code or anything like that the 70s and 80s generations were more tech savvy.

Being good in computer does not help you to make money if you are not that open minded to earn, what teenager do nowadays are they are busy with the social media to socialize with their friends, and the time spent is purely for friendly purposes and not for making profit.

It's different here in bitcoin, we make online transactions that will give us benefits to earn and to enjoy at the same time.

Teenagers or children can learn bitcoin by explaining to them the importances of how it work to our lives specially on how to earn bitcoin. At first i would suggest the bitcoin games to them which they can enjoy playing and at the same time earns satoshi's which is the smallest unit of bitcoin. I will teach them how to understand forum topics and guide them in order to learn in such so they may join signature campaigns the best way for them to earn btc.

It seems the new generation of us can become smarter than us. Childrens are very usual with technology especialy in virtual activity. So I think to explain bitcoin to teenegers or children is just give them some amount and clue how to use it, then they will find the way.

Yes, kids on this generation are even smarter than us, older people. That's why even we just leave them in front of computer and ask them what they have learned at the end of the day. For sure they will tell you all the things they have gained and the same thing with bitcoin, yes that's the only thing that we need to do giving them basic knowledge and they'll do the rest.

I think this easy, teenagers or children must have sophisticated gadgets, we recommend this forum then they will learn a lot about bitcoin. Perhaps we initially you know, then let them read a lot and ask if they don't understand.

Usualy we discuss this in theory but does actualy someone of you have children and has the experience of learning them how to use Bitcoins? Do you allow them to "play" with Bitcoin and would you do the same if fiat money was in question?
I think thi is the complex question and easy to answer because because the good things with Bitcoins children could come across some bad things too.

We may not believe in so difficult. Now the Internet is very developed, children come into contact with the Internet since childhood, their ability to understand far more than we. Invite them to participate in this forum, I think they will be easier to know bitcoin.

That's true that children easily learn things because of internet, but that is not enough for them to learn about bitcoin, some of those that are written in the internet isn't really teaching and helpful. They still need their guardian/parents so they could learn things properly, they need guidance, they need to learn properly which internet alone could not teach them. Children's mind is fresh, so anything that they saw and read means good to them, without proper guidance they could go wrong.

i think if we want to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children is depend on their mood, if they have a passionate for the technology then we explain them but if they don't then maybe we can explain with playing the games or we can give the lesson in their spare time. i don't think that our children is having full time for their study because its not good at all for them, we should not push them for just study.

I don't think dragging them here in forum is going to be that effective. Better to explain all the basic things that they can gain from you. Just let them know how does bitcoin works, how to earn and what are the things that can be bought with bitcoin. Just teach them all the good and legal things in bitcoin, and when they grow old and that's the right time to teach them what they need to avoid such as gambling.

Here's how you can do it.

You'll use whatever I tell you to or else. Now stop you're whining, go to your room and check your bitcoin-qt balance.

it sound ridiculous while I'm reading the last sentence Grin lol but this isn't a good idea and it isn't good for them to be forced to use what you want them to use and do what you want them to do which can't be comfortable for them or hard for them to understand Grin just let them choose what they want and support them and of course never forget to still guide them . however, I know that this was only a joke . haha

Bitcoin is difficult to explain. I also felt difficulties in understanding bitcoin for the firs time. Let's share how to explain bitcoin to children of teenagers. In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.

well you can give them a brief explanation how to use bitcoin, how is it working and what are the possible ways to get bitcoin for free . just feed them a basic information and guide them on their exploration because you may not know that they are exploring something where they can use bitcoin to commit such bad activities . maybe you can only do it for some teenager and not to the children ages 14 below because most of them doesn't have the same comprehension with the teenagers .

I  think teenagers and children have a way better job to understand things especially at early ages because they are always curious to know things , and nowadays children search the internet far more than adults, and when it comes to bitcoin even a 10 year old kid could have it because it is easy to use and does not require and identity card to have a wallet.

I'm very sure that teenagers or children can understand everything about bitcoin, without to much problem or effort Smiley
After all, they are born in Internet age, and they are familiar with online payments and all kinds of online tools, services etc.
I'm sure that is much more difficult to explain Bitcoin to older generation, 50+ than to some young boys, 10 years old.
Just bring them here and they will understand everything very quickly, no doubt about it!

That could work bu only if they were very enthusiastic about bitcoin already and if they were that excited about bitcoin then they should already have found the forum by now, so I don't think it is a good idea.

You will have a create a example and narrate them in form of story. Once you describe the features in the from of story it will be easy for them to understand the exact functioning or atleast the usefulness of the product. Rest as they grow more they will learn by themselves if it interests them.

You will have a create a example and narrate them in form of story. Once you describe the features in the from of story it will be easy for them to understand the exact functioning or atleast the usefulness of the product. Rest as they grow more they will learn by themselves if it interests them.

Story telling won't help, kids are always into something that makes them happy, like playing or telling them stories from cartoons or those that excites them. I can't imagine teaching them about blockchain using story telling and explaining bitcoin like that, it won't be easy and for sure not an interesting story that they might hear from you. I think, just let them ask about bitcoin, if they ask then it's good, but if not, then it's just fine, who knows, later on when they grow older they might find bitcoin interesting already.
