My kids are young and still they dont understand  how money works but in few years i will teach them to how thing works with bitcoin and fiat
Bitcoin will surely live long, and I am hoping as well that my children in the future will have the same interest like mine, I am going to tell them that living in the crypto world gives more opportunity than in real life world. Here, you have full control of your time and you are the boss.

My kids are young and still they dont understand  how money works but in few years i will teach them to how thing works with bitcoin and fiat

That's a good idea, everything has the right time to be taught which will be easily understandable. Same is with the kids, when they were interested into playing and other activities let them to explore. When they grow try to teach them, if not interested just leave. Everyone have different perspective on life. One should never be forced to follow particular thing.

Usually, we learn the most in first ten years of our life, and that acts as the capital for rest of our life. I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND you to watch  the following video (pretty old, but still worth it).

Make sure you teach your kids everything and every aspect of it with actual experience. Best luck Smiley

I too think that bitcoin will be a very easy thing to explain to teen and children, because bitcoin is easy to use all you have to do is send money to an address, and using bitcoin is totally anonymous so you don’t need to have and id to use bitcoin, not only that but bitcoin is all about money and a lot of money and as far as I know teen always need money so making them use bitcoin can solve their problems.

We can teach our children step by step, let us take it easy as they are growing. We must be the first one to introduce this to them before they'll discover bitcoin in gambling site. I myself would like to teach my children how bitcoin works and doing trading.

1. Take a coin and a cell phone.
2. Ask the child to go outside of the house.
3. Tell him to come to you to give back the coin.
4. Then ask him to return back outside and send you a text message via phone.
5. Carrying the coin is tougher, takes time, involves risk of losing and might be subjected to tax(tell him his parents might see the coin and take it)
6. The SMS was fast, between you two and involved no risk at all. Now tell him, bitcoin is the same without leaving behind any details i.e. the contact details from whom the message was sent.

Actually this will lead into a complicated understanding about bitcoin newcomers . Instead of giving a simply mobile and give instructions through messaging . You need to put your wallet in your mobile and that person mobile his own wallet them explain him to send and receive directly . This will make a better understanding about Bitcoin system .

Yeah that's something indeed should we do when did want to make a profit and the security of the account in the bitcoin we have, but they do have to be supported on mobile security we have. Because sometimes we're very careless in using mobile phones inside there is a wallet in which carelessness bring keylogger makes us likely to lose funds that we have. so be more careful in doing something, because right now the world is increasingly sophisticated and hackers also

The actual use of bitcoin would be easy for them to understand. Just get them a wallet, load some btc into it and let them use it for transactions. They would see that it would just be like using coins and paper bills. It's the technicalities about bitcoin that would be harder to explain. Mining would be the hardest IMHO. Even I just have a vague understanding about it. Miners obtain bitcoin by solving mathematical problems and that's just as far as I understand it.

Thankfully though Bitcoin is limited, that would make it easier for them to understand how the price goes up. Imagine if it's like fiat where a central authority increases or decreases supply as it see fit. That would have been more complicated to explain.

I am doing so from last 2-3 months. My results have been good.

Best way to explain someone about Bitcoin is by making him/her Master of few satoshis.

Guide him/her how to open a wallet. Better if you start with online wallets, Coinbase is good option. Once he/she will have his/her own address, send them few satoshis and tell him/her to send back. This will make him/her clear about Bitcoin working.

Another strategy, I made them do my online work and paid them in BTC. I told them, they could exchange BTC for real money anytime from me. Believe me! Most of them start following @coindesk, etc on Twitter. The fact, "BTC prices are volatile made them keen to know more about it".

They wanna hold BTC for longer and earn for of it. Some of them are still doing work with me and getting their payments in BTC.

Children may be a little harder to teach something like bitcoin to because they don't always have much patients for things that don't yet interest them.
Teenagers is a different story, i think you could teach them one day and they will probably be showing you what to do within a week, especially if your over 50 already.

Therefore you are just completely wasting your time, teach them when they reach at the right age. Kids should not be too serious with life, bitcoin is serious so it does not match at all.

there is no special way of explaining bitcoin against children. we just need patience as they will need a long time to get to know bitcoin. patience is a very important point.
That's about right kids need to be kids and in today's fast world that is getting harder for them to do.
This topic should probably not include children.

I think not appropriate to tell young children about bitcoin, though you told him about bitcoin, they will not understand
it takes time until they are mature enough to recognize bitcoin

The best way to explain it is as using a 'game currency' reference but tie it to the value and possibility that Gold has. Tell them its the same concept but with greater potential as its intentions are to be the world's next banking system rather than the best online game currency.

Nah, children today are very intelligent they keep on asking about things that they don't know. And because of technology they can just google almost everything and learn it by themselves. But still it is better if someone is going to give them facts about bitcoin on how it is going to be a good medium for their growth as a kid. It is not that bad if we are going to teach kids about bitcoin.

Yup, now a days kids will find everything in Google, If they just know with bitcoin they can make pocket money, they only learn what bitcoin is and how to use it and where to get it everything. But I think better we should not teach this to our kids, If they addict to gambling means it's a big problem for parents. I will not suggest children to learn Bitcoin.

first i will not be in favour of teaching bitcoin to teenagers or children and if you still want to teach them then teach them about bitcoin like a currency and not as an investment. they should not take part in trading or investment.
