I updated to 0.1.5.4e and entered my seed from the ICO site but my balance is zero.  The address matches what's on the ICO site. How can I see my balance?

You can use the block explorer: kpx.io

Did you already request a payout? If not, then you won't see your balance.

The address won't show in the block explorer because it has no transactions.

I didn't realize I had to request a payout.  I've done that using my original seed. When is the next payout?

17 usd in BTC? Or 17 BTC? The title is a little misleading, 17$ for security bug bounty seems too little, but 17 BTC seems too much.

I'm glad that the issue was resolved. Next payout on next Friday.

17 BTC

It is not too much if it is a really serious bug, and it is "up to 17 BTC". Our team will review each issue separately and decide an appropriate bounty.

Should be next friday.  Payments were just recently moved to a bi weekly schedule due to lack of requests.  However if you have just requested it  expect it around next friday.

Cryptox.pl Bitcoin Refunds; no one will make a loss because of the bug

As most of you probably know there was an exploit in the KMD code that allowed an attacker to create illicit KMD in the network. This attack has been fully mitigated and was fixed. The only damage were the illicit KMD that were deposited to Cryptox.pl exchange by the hacker and subsequently sold there to profit from the hack. The Komodo team decided that they will refund the buyers of those illicit KMD as those never really existed. So all accounts that bought KMD from the hacker account, will have the KMD that they bought removed from their Cryptox.pl account and they can reach out to the KMD team to setup the Bitcoin refund.

If you were effected you will receive an email with further instructions.

We will make sure that no person will make a loss because of this hack.

Best Regards,
Komodo Team

Very generous consideration and this is  a challenge for devs of komodo. A bullet proof komodo blockchain will be proven with the 17 BTC bug bounty challenge . That is how confident the team is willing to wager that amount of BTC.

 1) Join SuperNET Slack and send it to @audo
 2) Send a PM to KomodoPlatform on bitcointalk
 3) Send an email to contact@komodoplatform.com

We will make sure that no person will make a loss because of this hack.

The network is on a fork starting at 241777.

The latest version needs to be updated to.

I sent PM to cryptopia, but no response. if they have not updated, they need to and also best to stop deposits until the situation resolves.

if you are running an old komodod, then update and then run the command:

 ./komodo-cli invalidateblock 00000299dd7a22edc91e1d43ac11f83e2d3d7a1c536d4a7bc6cfa0533244634f

that will get you in sync to the mainchain

We had already patched the vulnerability (in a separate area) and were in the process of validating it. Everything prior to 241777 is fine
