Right. Being addicted to Methadone is much better than being addicted to heroin. Especially if it encourages heroin use in people so that more of it will have to be used.

There has been a sudden surge in the number of people who take recreational drugs in my country and its mostly young people who do that, I have seen lots of people destroy their lives with drugs and people sometimes go mad smoking marijuana, some people may denounce this but its so true.

TeenAgers nowadays they don't know what is really bad for them unless they try something new they like feeling cool when they take some party drugs that is why i hate going to club any club is bad for me coz the bad habbitat there will not be remove all drugs had a harmful effect it can be wreck your life once take too much and overdose.

I don't agree with you that everyone who has used it is a criminal. Maybe they are just curious and wanted to try it then they become dependent on it and addicted knowing that it's destroying their body. Nonetheless, not everyone who has tried it is a criminal. It is illegal for a reason because they can make people do stuff they shouldn't do in the first place.

Drugs such as Methadone are not OTC drugs. But they can be obtained with a doctor's prescription, which is easy to get if you have the connections. And it is not just the heroin addicts who are using Methadone. It is being prescribed for other uses as well.

Yes, children need to be educated about drugs. They should be given truth about it, about everything actually.
Why people lie to their children about Christmas & Santa? No one questions it, its perfectly normal cuz everyone is doing it. Think what the child is experiencing or thinking when they finally find out that Santa isn't real. It's another very well thought-out brainwash mechanism. The very same thing that is making up "drugs = criminals" mindset in the sheeples heads, they don't have their own opinions about it, they have the government's.

There are so few people that are informed about drugs.  Unless you research it yourself, the government, schools, the media/news will only fear monger.  So people don't educate their children about drugs because they aren't educated about drugs.  All they know is to fear everything and treat it like heroin.  Then they put blind trust into doctors and have no problem being prescribed opioids.

I agree with you there dude. Its been well proven that alcohol and nicotine have much more negative effect on someone's health than weed. And further studies also indicate that weed is a magic drug that can be used to cure certain illnesses including cancer. Though excessive use of it may not be good, that goes for pretty much everything that is easily accessible to people.

most of the replies are "don't do this don't do that it's bad". That's just shallow and narrow. imo, there's a need for education on drug use. I think most people when they hear the word "drugs" there's this negative connotation. And maybe don't realize as well that they're taking one every day.

Drugs are simply chemicals. Ranging from natural to artificially made. Science shows that a human body has trillion of chemical reaction simultaneously happening to keep its functions or so to speak to keep the body alive. Drugs can heal, enhance or even kill you hence it helps to be properly educated on the matter. Well, if you ask me. Love is a drug too or the act of checking the price of your favorite crpto. You get hooked with the dopamine release.

I am not sure whether marijuana has any medicinal effect, other than its use as a painkiller. But the painkiller market is a huge one, and the current bunch of synthetic (mainly opioid derived) painkillers do have much more dangerous side-effects when compared to marijuana. If marijuana is legalized, then the pharma cartels will lose a huge chunk of their revenue.

Some people may take advantage of the situation, but it is not going to be the drug peddlers. The drug smugglers will lose their jobs if the drugs are legalized. Even the drug cartels will go bankrupt.
