Well actually they are both profitable, your approach will always depend on how you manage your time but we are one in goal which is to make money.
By holding only it is proven that it is profitable and it does not require much of your time since the strategy is very simple, you just hold it and have patience and you will see you are growing the value of your bitcoins already.
